I've just got the black version of "Everybody Else ..." and the black vinyl 2015 Plain Recordings 180g of "No Need to Argue"; and that sounds great already. It would take convincing for me to pick up an Analog Spark version... or maybe not. Maybe just pick it up for unity of the pressings and pass along this other version. Dammit. Now I have to think about it.

i'm one of those guys who shelled out a cool hundred for both the original everybody else is doing it, so why can't we? AND a copy of no need to argue over the years. there's also a 12'' from before the first record that most peeps don't know about...

I did something foolish and took a look at what my Discogs collection highest ticket items were priced at... Marilyn Manson is leading (Antichrist and Mechanical Animals). Kinda weird.

Those 90s Manson albums go for insane prices, even for used copies.

I remember back around the time of The High End of Low, I had come across brand new vinyl copies of what I now believe to have been the early-2000s Simply Vinyl UK pressings of Antichrist and Mechanical Animals in this shitty record store a friend and I were shopping in. If I recall, they weren't going for anything higher than $50. I passed on them and he bought them. To this day, I kick myself in the ass every time I think about it. I would probably punch the guy in the face and sacrifice our friendship for those LPs now..

To add to the insult, I think they both sound a lot better than the CD versions. AS sounds more raw (almost punk-like) and MA has the tracks split up differently making the story more coherent.

Small thing, but I put some doors on my record unit. I've kept back some of the stuff from the RHS so I can make up a smaller for for the top-left (since I moved the strut it's too narrow for a normal door)

cult of luna & julie christmas - mariner
    2xLP on black vinyl
i've always loved julie's voice, and it goes so well with this music, i want them to continue collaborating on everything. i'd never listened to cult of luna before "the wreck of s.s. needle" came on a spotify station i was listening to recently, and i basically immediately ordered this record. checked out some of their previous albums and, while they're good, they're just not the same without julie.

the package is beautiful, and the music is good, but the soundtrack for Fire Walk With Me is actually better. plus, there's like three or four julie cruise songs on the show soundtrack, and i also have her album on vinyl, so it was a bit redundant.

I plan to get that too, eventually. I just need a good price for Fire Walk With Me.

@Space Suicide that variant is GORGEOUS

    bill evans - empathy
my friend gave me choice of some jazz records she inherited from her dad as payment for helping fix her internet, and this is one of the things i picked out. it was quite good, and the record itself is in surprisingly good condition for how messed up the sleeve is.

ides of gemini - old world | new wave
one of four records i got in a $23 grab-bag from sige records, surprised to find that i adore it.

menace ruine - venus armata 2xLP
another from the sige grab-bag. just finishing this up now and it's definitely one of the most unique things i've listened to in a while. i don't even know how to describe it, other than harsh/beautiful and haunting/comforting all at the same time.

I just got my MINISTRY - NECROMONICON vinyl.

Never in a million years did I think a jourgenson re release would outshine a Reznor re release.

Finally had a chance to see PIG last night and managed to bump into Raymond after the show. He was really friendly and was happy for me that I had finally caught his band live. He signed my copy of WRECKED and even drew a little pig with a pitchfork on the cover.
