i now own every interpol album on vinyl, since i just finally got my hands on Our Love To Admire. only $50, actually came with the poster & CD copy of the album. the glue is totally undone on the bottom parts of the sleeve, but there's no actual damage. can't wait to listen to it!

Jacked for this, it's been too long...and to be honest I wasn't a huuuge fan of their last album. Also, I didn't even pick up on El Pintor being an anagram of Interpol until I was told.

I liked the last one quite a lot and really got into them after seeing them open for U2, the new songs appear to be in the same vein so it should be good

yeah, i liked the self-titled album quite a bit. i have the 2x12" 45rpm version of it (but sadly did not get the special interpol 45 adapter that was supposed to come with it).

really excited for the new one.

I wonder what the absence of Carlos D will portend.
Will the band do something new??? Not holding my breath.
I don't remember much from the s/t apart from Barricade.
I love their rocking tunes, I wish they'd do more per album.

"Banks" was a breath of fresh air, i bet they can make Paul's songs work with the band dynamics, and yes more rocking tunes like "Slow Hands", "Say hello to angels" and "Roland" would be great...

Don't want another "Our Love to admire" it has god tunes but it terribly boring, and "Self Titled" was gloomy too, they need another "Antics"

The track is good, the video is kind of meh, but at least they have the suits (well at least two of them, lol...), surprised to see Paul on bass, glad they are back!

Love the new track! I've forgone watching any live vids of new songs and it made this even better, helps make me very optimistic for El Pintor.

Paul played bass during the recording of the album. They are indeed a three-piece now. In the live line-up they have Brad Truax on bass.

Love All The Rage Back Home and it was great to see them perform two times last month. They'll be back in Europe early next year, can't wait

Now that I have to drive ten minutes versus three hours to see them, I'll definitely be at the Lawrence show! Granada's a good venue for them.

listening now, it is quite good, it takes where the s/t left off and goes one step above. I really really like that band now, can't wait for the tour.

Word for word. On first listen, I think it's a fantastic album. I got my tickets for this November.

I've felt a little uncertain about seeing them later this year, but this is definitely compelling me to go ahead and try to plan for it. First go-through I definitely enjoy it a lot, think Twice as Hard is a great note to end on and is one of the strongest tracks, All the Rage Back Home still feels amazing and is arguably my number 1 or 2, though that might simply be out of familiarity.

Only complaint is that some of the songs don't go anywhere, seeming to build up and then sort of stopping without and real climactic moments; in general it's a mellow listen, but I feel like that sort of thing will grow on me on subsequent spins. Definitely getting this on vinyl, probably going to see them live if the setlists have a lot from it. It seems like it'd be great in person.
