I'm not gonna argue in this thread but what a misguided and outright ignorant assessment of a valued music band compared to an anarchist piece of shit with no musical merit whatsoever.

I don't care how fake it is, the idea of getting your genitals out and pissing all over the audience is fucking foul.

Obviously both bands have very disparate points of view on certain sociopolitical subjects. However, while GG Allin literally defecated on stage and threw it at people, and Rammstein's show is fake, the message there is essentially the same. The scatological aspects of the performance only remind me of GG Allin.

I think I'm allowed to not like their behaviour in concert.

You are I just think considering Rammstein in the same vein as a misanthropic, worthless degenerate who used "music" to act like a piece of shit to people and civilization as a whole is misaligned.

i could do without the motorhead cover, however. never been a huge fan of lemmy's voice and hearing him try to "sing" that song hurts my throat.

More on topic: Rammstein are boring and I just don't understand the adulation.
Also @kel @Krazy and @bobbie solo - please, at least watch this (one of their most beautiful ballads and music videos). It translates to “Without You”. Extremely, extremely poignant and beautiful piece of music.

I'm going to go into the fir trees
There where I last saw her
But the evening is throwing a cloth upon the land
and upon the ways behind the edge of the forest
And the forest it is so black and empty
    Woe is me, oh woe
And the birds sing no more

    Without you I cannot be
    Without you
With you I am alone too
    Without you
Without you I count the hours without you
With you the seconds stand still
    They aren't worth it

On the branches in the ditches
it's now silent and without life
And breathing becomes oh so hard for me
    Woe is me, oh woe
And the birds sing no more

    Without you I cannot be
    Without you
With you I am alone too
    Without you
Without you I count the hours without you
With you the seconds stand still
They aren't worth it without you

@Space Suicide @dlb @ManBurning @Conan The Barbarian - feel free to add more stuff they are missing out on. Donaukinder? Vergiss Uns Nicht? Nebel?

Bands need to stop using 8 string guitars. 95% of the time they end up ripping off meshuggah because playing in low F is limiting.

My son has taken to asking me to play songs for him that he hears on his school bus. I found I actually really like 'I Gotta Feeling' by The Black Eyed Peas!

I know, I can’t stand Will I Am, he’s a host on the UKs The Voice and he is really annoying. I think it’s like Stockholm Syndrome, my boys are autistic so when they like something they can become really obsessed and you just have to go with it. Having said that, he was obsessed with Ed Sheeran at one point and Maroon 5 and I still found them unbearable

Oh good, lol. I was thinking I was going to get shit for it. Lol. Honestly they had been poping up on my YouTube feed. So I checked them out. I never actually heard a song of theirs before, just the name and association with Ilan and JMJ. Some of the songs I was digging.

    Nothing wrong with this.

Not really a fan, myself. I quite like crushcrushcrush and Oh Star. Aside from that, what I've heard doesn't do all that much for me.

Funny that you say that. I am kind of digging the newer stuff of there’s, was never a big pop punk fan. So their older material from what I listened to didn’t really appeal to me.

Paramore is the shit. Best opener NIN has ever had. Haley was pumped to be playing before them and mentioned it two separate times. Tell me when/where and you win a no-prize!

I’ll play. I think Vodoo 2013 in New Orleans and RiotFest 2017 in Chicago?

Manson in '94 was the best opener for NIN that I saw, APC was great too. Does Soundgarden Count?

Soundgarden def. counts. As far as Paramore I was only aware of Voodoo 2013!

Pizza Power is the shit! That song was even featured in the Turtles in Time and Hyperstone Heist games from Konami. I even bought the Pizza Power 7" that came out last year on Record Store Day.

Though—I'm a pretty big TMNT fan too.

I lost a lot of respect for Led Zeppelin after I read an article about the number of times they borrowed from other artists. I was surprised that they won their plagiarism lawsuit. I listened to the Spirit song and Stairway to Heaven was a blatant ripoff of it. It's ironic that Jimmy Page used to complain about other musicians stealing his riffs-- like the pot calling the kettle black. Maybe this is why Robert Plant is focusing on his solo projects and he turned down the Zeppelin reunion. Also, Plant is a Christian and Zeppelin does have some connections to Satanism. Page was obsessed with Aleister Crowley and he actually bought his house in Scotland.

Here’s a hot/drunk take. The Arctic Monkeys’ AM record is all time top-50. But aside from that, they kind of suck (save for a couple cool tunes on Humbug).

From what I understand a lot of their songs are taken from old blues riffs. I'm okay with that. They still had to develop them. Best rock n' roll band of all-time.
