I read a news report that Atticus has signed on to do the music for Keanu Reeves new movie 47 Ronin, a 3-D samaurai tale.
I wasnt sure if anyone else has heard about this.

Yeah I heard about this (obviously #stalker), but so far only Film Music Reporter is source - they're usually reputable, but they have no source.

It sounds very interesting. I do like Keanu Reeves also, so I'm looking forward to hearing more about Atticus' involvement in the movie.
I was mostly intersested at this point if it was speculation or something legit.

Keanu seems to be really improving with age, although I do get slightly confused when films about samurai cast white people :P. The score itself will probably be out early November, assuming it follows suit of normal score releases.

I was a fan of Keanu since "River's edge" which is a movie I absolutely still love.
Im hoping for something large and Epic for this soundtrack...

Especially seeing that the movie will be seeing in 3-D, I think that it would add that extra dimention to the movie.
Something to get excited about and wait another 7 months or so for.

As a big fan of him since MOPI and having hundreds of his interview DVDs which I have traded with fans all over the world, I have often heard of him mentioning his Chinese descent but never about Japanese one.

Thats pretty much what I am assuming also, and here I was getting excited at the prospect of more music from Atticus besides the HTDA album.
I guess it just makes 2013 more exciting.

Apparently showings of Sadako 3D in Japan are accompanied with the first trailer for the film, not clear if the music is original or not though.

On the plus side, the more it costs, the better chance the studio will do a nice deluxe package for the soundtrack, to balance out SOME costs :P

I am actually really looking forward to not only Atticus' score for this movie, but also for the movie itself.
The story itself is quite interesting and I think it would make a great film if carried out well. But to need to make half a billion in order to make a profit seems a bit much.
On a Deluxe package for the soundtrack, that I am totally stoked for.
I feel like there is a drought in some good tunage out there and I am really grasping for some new Ross~!!!

Oh well, I'm still interested in the movie, and it's not like Atticus won't be making music in some other fashion. He's still scoring 'Broken City', right?

I hope this is because HTDA touring might cause issues, but it's probably something more mundane.
