Trent does theme for Call of Duty Black Ops

    http://content.usatoday.com/communit...1#.T_wBCttXtPE

There isn't really a random spotting thread for score work

I've actually read the whole thing now, there is new NIN being worked on too - hurrah

I thought the music sounded familiar but I couldn't put my finger on it. No idea why I was watching that program mind.

Wow, thanks for sharing that. Such great, evocative stuff in there... but then again, I'm a total Moonie for The Fragile. If the new album could deliver only *half* the experience of TF. Le sigh.

Best quote from the comments section...

    Bob Dylan Thomas Dolby Digital
...the very limited and repetitive vocabulary (toss the words "I," "you," "decay," "hate," "whole," "pain," and "fuck" together and you'll likely win a round of NINGO), I've been irked by "the path we have chose [sic]." What, did "we both chose" or "that we chose" not fit?

    he plays just about everything
After watching the trailer and noticing the obvious link to the "Kony 2012" retardation (who used NIN music in their viral video), I have to wonder if Trent got a slight bit of vindication from doing the music on this.

Dude rambling on about how The Fragile was the last stand of Alt-Rock and comparing it's development to Scorcese and Taxi Driver.

Was just watching Deadmau5's live stream and he was just sitting there listening to Year Zero saying nothing. I got bored at Survivalism and turned it off haha.i

EDIT: Scratch that, I guess he was looking for a song to remix. He's currently remixing Survivalism while streaming, pretty cool.

I just so happened to stumble upon this. I saw only part of the first hour. From what I saw, I gather that he was mostly testing and assembling the remix elements.

I started recording during the second hour. It was a 720p stream, so the file is massive.

He got sidetracked, but starts noodling with the Survivalism remix again at about 1:21 point. He starts creating basically a 25-minute Survivalism jam from the 1:36 mark until the end of the stream.

The FLV file is really jacked up because it's a live stream rip. Most FLV players fail on it miserably. I recommend downloading the 715 MB file, rather than watching it on that webpage. VLC's the only player I've found so far that works somewhat well with it. Seeking and random access are going to be spotty in the file.

Side note: This is my first time using Minus for file sharing. From what I've seen so far, it's pretty impressive, so I may have to look into it further. If you want to sign up for it, use my referral link, http://min.us/rffZyaN, and we'll both earn an additional 1 GB of space.

it was about Raging Bull, not Taxi Driver. and the article was pretty good, i thought.

Sascha Dikiciyan (Mass Effect 3 soundtrack) mentions Trent as an inspiration for getting into scoring games. http://www.theverge.com/2012/7/13/31...iyan-ipad-apps

I can't remember, or find a pic, but I swear it was one of the Mass Effect games that had an easteregg of the AIR flag somewhere. Now this is going to bug the shit out of me...

I was watching the documentary Six Degrees of Helter Skelter last night and they showed what is allegedly the only existing footage from inside the Tate residence. This footage was shot by either Trent or someone from the NIN camp while they were setting up the studio. I was wondering if anyone saw the entire footage in question and if it's available somewhere? TIA

There is a fuckload of footage from inside there (the Gave Up video for example), so I'm not sure what it would reference.

BTW, that documentary is probably more bullshit than a whole farm of cows all shitting on each other in some sick cow scat orgy. Take it as a (poor) mockumentary and nothing more.

    It was mildly entertaining.

    Loved "Manson" from 1973.

Behind the scene video for COD:Blops 2, with a longer cut of music playing in the background and Trent talking about what he brings to the game.

P.S. Trent is looking good! :P

Trailer for Dave Grohl's film about Sound City recording studio. Clip of Trent talking about the studio, and playing:

Parts of With Teeth were recorded there (probably Grohl's drums)

Charlie Clouser was on Pensado's Place today -- they haven't posted the episode up yet, but probably will in the next few days:

Hmm...I did not know that Atticus Ross had a sister, Liberty Ross, who is married to the "Snow White and the Huntman" director who just had an affair with Kristen Stewart. There you go. Glad that neither Trent nor Atticus are in "People" magazine, however...oh, Hollywood.

Said director was the director for The Space In Between, so he probably won't reprise the role for future HTDA videos.
