This is a video from the 'Sound City' documentary... it is a 30 second snippet of Trent's first musical memory.
Bill Kennedy, sound engineer/mixer on TDS and Broken, dead at 49. RIP.

90 Seconds on The Verge, in the video on 0:04.

Those two pictures together made me laugh a LOT more than it probably should have.
This song is a tribute to Closer.
The band used the same beat and called the song "Más Cerquita" which means "A Little Closer" in spanish.
If you enjoy listening to music in other languages (and high pitched vocals) you might enjoy it:

Scroll down to see about NIN being used in the credits of Cabin in the Woods.
At first I thought, wow, I thought that guy died a long time ago, but it's a different Bill Kennedy.
^^^ Yeah, I was a big fan of its usage, too!
Also, 1:40 to 1:50.

King Buzzo on a long rant about NIN.
sounds like a bitter little bitch to me. but i never saw the thrill. so whatever.
I read that too, i live in Sioux Falls, but i was 11 at the time, so yea i was waaaay to young. I dint get into NIN until like 1997, blows my mind to think my favorite band played here!! I did get to see Tool play the shit hole arena in 2002, though. So that kinda makes up for it. But still tho
I stumbled across the following "interesting" article regarding Buzz from The Melvins' tour experiences with White Zombie and........our beloved NIN.
Music is subjective, but its hard to like the guy after reading what he says about NIN.

Heh, Mutilated, that was posted on this thread, five posts before yours...
Except that links directly to the post, not the copy & pastery of theprp. On your point of whether or not you like him after what he said... it's all perspective I think. He makes a pretty good point about smashing shit, and I'm sure if you ask Trent today, he'd say basically the same thing. Extrapolating smashing shit on tour to having helicoptering parents is kind of weird, but as far as being 'heavily sheltered' - Trent grew up in western PA in the 70s. He's said himself, there wasn't a whole lot going on out there.
The 'synth crap' line isn't all that unusual for a west coast guitar player. Look at the liner notes of Rage Against the Machine's Battle of Los Angeles - "There are no synthesizers on this record." Whoop-de-doo!
haven't seen this before, but it sure is a cool thing of Trent to do:
And more soundboard audio of NIN with decent video, too, so that's always a nice find!

I was more referring to the general tone of the blog post. He just sounds hateful instead of thankful that some pretty big bands decided to take them on the road with them.
