I never really understood the hate towards this record (other than Wes not being a part of it), there are a bunch of good tracks in there. Eat You Alive, Drown, Down Another Day, Underneath The Gun - I've been giving it a spin for the first time in a while this week and find it quite underrated.
Creamer is lowkey one of my favorite Limp Bizkit tracks. There's definitely some genuine turds on that album, but yeah some of the tracks aren't actually all that bad.

    IDK man.
I posted a fairly recent interview with Fred some pages back, (pre festival surprise,) and i saw a dude talking about being thrilled about playing CLUBS, and interacting with his fans.

I saw a man who wasn't overly concerned with "making the scene." You know, like Harry, from the Sultans of Swing.
Current day Fred Durst, TO ME, appears to be fairly laid back, NOT worried about relevance, and just THRILLED that he's able to tour with his band, and play small shows, and be alive.

    I just CAN'T root against a guy on that wavelength. I can't.
And it was that interview that led me to check out the festival set, and then the record.

    And fuck. I dug it.

And as far as record sales? I'm not trying to be a dick at ALL here, Bill, so please don't get mad, but i mean, billboard numbers are a thing now, for measuring the quality of music? I mean, yeah...
you bumping that new Drake? it's been number one for a few weeks!

    you see what i mean?

Normally idc about record sales. I listen to plenty of underground bands that do not even chart in the top 200. My point was at one point LB was the biggest band in the world (somehow). They were on Guns N Roses/Metallica/U2 levels of record sales and popularity. Number 1 albums etc. To go from Number 1 albums to Number 155......Thats a death spiral and a free fall from grace, the likes that haven't been seen since Vanilla Ice. Its a stunning collapse. How a band can be the biggest band in the world and then be abandoned by 95% of their fanbase.

oh man, I was supposed to see Wargasm this spring but the tour fell through; I guess they decided to tour with LP instead.

love the sound, just wish they had better availability of music.

I wish every band I love didn’t absolutely hate the midwest in 2022. I’m so tired of fucking road trips man.

I feel you man. I'm honestly STUNNED that this is actually hitting up KC. The last time Limp played here was almost like 10 years ago now I think and it was a free show at some bar district downtown. Before that was like 1999 I think?

Sucks being a B city, I guess in the pandemic cooldown bands have to hit their money cities in the US, then over seas in late fall/winter 2022, their money cities again in spring 2023, big festivals in the summer and maybe some random B market routing dates in the fall of 2023.

Yeah you can tell they're still new to actually playing the new stuff. Plus the stream mix makes it sound way worse too. Shit'll be tight and bouncin' by the time the arena tour comes around though. Also it's fucking great to see John Otto back behind the kit.

I hope so, cause in this state I would not be letting John Otto take me to the Matthews Bridge.

I saw Limp Bizkit open for Metallica. They were truly horrible. When Fred went out in the crowd to "sing" Behind Blue Eyes with a tape backing I was wishing I had a rocket launcher.

I definitely wouldn't have added Rollin' to that list. I'm surprised Faith is not there.

Man that list seems like it was selected by the Revolver editors. Majority of those five would not be on mine at all.

Full Nelson, Boiler, Pollution, Nookie, Stalemate

    That's a list.

Mine would be Rearranged, In Together Now, Mission Impossible, Break Stuff, Faith, Stuck.

Controversial opinion, but I LIKE Behind Blue Eyes. The singing is reasonable and the production is killer.

Every bit of Nookie is awesome except.for.the lyric " I did it all for the nookie so you can take that cookie and stick it up your" I'd LOVE a version with an instrumental.chorus. Alas, that chorus made me lose some respect for them.

Rollin' is what utterly killed it for.me back then, and I WAS rolling at the time, like three times a month.
But no amount of MDMA could make that song listenable.

as much as i hate to admit it, wes boreland was good with danny elfman. couldn't even recognize him if you didn't know who it was. of course would've rather had robin finck but he had a good excuse. josh freese was great on drums with elfman too.

Re-Arranged is one of their best, no doubt, i do like "Behind Blue Eyes", i think Fred's vocals in that one are done with love and respect.

I just heard "The Unquestionable Truth" last week and forgot how good it was, i hope they'll release the supposed sequel sometime in the future...
