Guy's busy at Apple, and I'd imagine he's spending time with his family for a while. Over the Summer (with the exception of the weeks leading to TF's birthday) I've stopped wondering when something will happen. Sorry, I should have stated that I recognized the third one as a string instrument, I've just never seen anything like it.

Looks like you're totally right about the second one, I just looked at some piano tuning pegs on Google images. I've never really peered into the inside of a piano before, so I had no idea what the pegs looked like.

I thought the official ‘story’ was that the first few songs that evolved into HM were at first made for a nin hits album. But it’s been two years now and still no hits album. I’m not even all that big on the idea of an official hits album, but if it does happen, I hope its making is postponed until after Trent completely retires from making any new nin music.
