    https://eversonpoe.bandcamp.com/album/possessor

have a new 3-CD compilation up for pre-order (along with a new batch of shirts!) through trepanation. includes all of my trepanation releases so far, as well as appearances on splits and comps.

also, any money spent on my bandcamp this month (on everything except the new comp & shirts) will be donated to The Trevor Project in honor of pride month.

I would happily listen to this for a good hour over a cup of tea.

So I've really fallen for this little dog. I was resentful of her at first, because she wasn't Spike. I wasn't expecting that.

She sleeps through the night, in between us, and I take her outside in the morning, and throughout the day: she hasn't had any accidents in the house in about a week.

And I play with her outside for at least 30 min a day. She's just SO loving and SO happy to be alive.

And I can't imagine the bond I'm gonna have with this one, having raised her since she was a little puppy. I was SO close to Spike, but he was 2 when I met him. I may wind up being even CLOSER to.this fantastic little.beast.

Edit: I finally found an image hosting website that works on my fire tablet.

Maddelyn Hatter went on Instagram live earlier today and loled at my Instagram name (Tony Bologna). I don’t know why it filled me with such joy but it did.

So in contrast to yesterday's "piss off" post, the newbie figured out how to run a dishwasher, which means easily accessible, good early morning coffee for shade.
    Shade a happy girl now.

Now you don’t have to… throw shade at those work colleagues anymore!

    I’ll see myself out.

I'll take better pictures of all of the stained glass friends when there is better sunlight.

Did you make these? They're amazing! Are they from a series or something, sorry - I don't recognize. They're cool regardless.

These are the works of Oksana Belay, bought through Etsy.

I say I only want one more... but there's still a small handful that so adorable that I may just be a liar.

There is a street artist in Ottawa, Canada that sculpts miniature food art and sticks them in random places all over the city, i haven't been to Ottawa in a minute but i live pretty close and i hope to come across one sometime. I would be filled with immense joy.

Another Ottawa related thing, Tom Green and his dog Charlie have been hanging out there for the past month or so and it's just cool to see him putting footage together from the city. Would love to run into him sometime!

Took The Boss with me for an evening trail run. I really like the latest album, it's an improvement to the previous.

Confirmation that Covid is officially over due to election campaigning in Germany and people have better things to do than taking walks. Back to being just the trees and me. And a million bugs. Summer..

Anyway, out the other side of the forest, 10 pm.
I really don't know why anyone would prefer Netflix to this. Winter is coming. Fast, dark and cold enough.

The main question is, when did it start that in this digital world everyone feels the urge to express their overrated opinion on literally everything?
I see why people want to discuss news, global warming and whatever. But wigs? Seriously?

Back to cheering up: first 2h of classroom KravMaga post-Covid (is this a thing yet?) followed by a sunset trail run yesterday! Yep, life could be a lot worse.

Krav Maga is a big thing up in my hood, I can take lessons at a few places. It looks pretty cool! Do you already have to be in pretty good shape, or can any yutz walk in and start?

I'd say just go for it!
I mean fitness helps, sure, but techniques like KM are designed the way that weaker/older/overweight/skinnier/shorter/etc people stand a chance. The fitness will gradually improve.
And for practicing technique you don't need a lot of stamina.

I'm also training Wing Chun which is in my opinion much more technical and requires a lot more practice before the steps and movements start to become automated. And from an outside perspective it looks funnier since you fight with open hands. But a good finger in the eye hurts a lot more than a poorly placed punch to the nose.

There will always be situations where even my grandmaster just remarked "if you encounter this - forget everything you learned/trained and RUN."

For getting started quickly and feel a bit safer, I'd recommend Krav. It will all give you a better sense for situations. You'll talk angry drunks, knives, guns etc. What do you do in which situation?
Just watch out for a good instructor, that's the most important part. If you don't click with your instructor, the best martial art (or self defense, for that matter) won't work for you. And there's plenty of shitty ones out there since it's all pretty trendy and there's money to be made.
