And now, the goatee I've had for much of my adult life has a number of super thick greys coming in...only on one side. It looked really awkward. From time to time, I've shaved it off, but even then, I'm always a little scraggly. And they still drive me nuts. It's like my follicles took a vote on which ones were in the best position to make me look awkward with a rapid depigmentation, and then they acted on their consensus.

My brother-in-law had a moustache for 30 years—wouldn't even shave it off when I offered him $100 to do it and then grow it right back—and he finally had to ditch it because it went white on one side and nothing at all happened on the other.

Why the hell is goddamned vestigial fur such a pain in the ass for some of us!?
    vestigial fur.
you are now firmly (for the day ;p) on an altar.

i remember asking a hair dresser if i could dye my hair white, and being told that a rude and vulgar and eye wrenchingly evil shade of brassy-ish white-ish would be the closest possible (i am brunette) to it.
    so i didn't.
and what is up with lack of symmetrical graying? i guess this is more common than i thought.

this could be cross posted to things that piss you off, since it both cheers me up AND pisses me off: working on chain maille. 4 mm jump rings are wee cunts. but damn they look great once they have been coaxed/wrestled/cursed/begged into place. ugh. and i have tiny fingers and hands. i figured this shit was a shoo-in for my miniature paws. sigh. lol. i have made a choker with parallel weave (lovely weave), am on a 2+1+2 weave to make a bezel for a pendant. and next (if i make it through the bezel without imploding or exploding) is a byzantine weave (made into a star). so rah for exploring, and bah for tiny jump rings. (and bah for stubbornly refusing to NOT use 4mm jump rings. rofl)

My new car (Lincoln MKZ hybrid) is pulling about 38-40 MPG. Comfy, great sound system, all the bells/whistles, I'm not all strung out after sitting in traffic on my commute home anymore. Not the prettiest or flashiest or sexiest car out there, but I'm in luv.

Our division recently changed offices and location, so I've been busting my ass making sure everything is logical and set out correctly.
Only now is it finally coming in to shape and it's looking fiiiiiiine.

The street was empty, I was with my GF at a crossing and one cab was coming our way. The driver stopped and let us pass.

I was baffled and I had a weird smile on my face for a couple mins.

I kind of put off doing any of my Art History online quizzes throughout the entire semester, which really bit me in the ass, with finals being next week. Our teacher told us she would open up all quizzes to anyone who wanted to take them that hadn't done so already. Scooore!

Also, my Medieval Lit teacher showed us our only two essay questions (that's our entire final, but he wants us to provide enough content in two hours to answer - which is more than fair), discussed with us exactly what he wanted us to do to research them, AND told us that we can bring him rough outlines until the final, and then on the day of the final, we can just transcribe our outline into our essay. I feel so incredibly lucky this semester.

And after next Thursday - No school until June! YES!

This site's freak out over KROQ's blunder and subsequent "hacking" of nullco.com to find both the non-public link for the Immigrant song (meant solely for radio stations) and the GDT Soundtrack page before it was officially released.

    I missed you, ETS.

Not only do I get to be the laziest fuck this week, if I so choose, I have a date tonight. This is a phenomenal feeling. I hope it lasts a long while, unlike the short bursts I had the rest of this year.

ETS being back online as I'm sure many of you will agree, this cheered me up yesterday. That and my friends have been awesome since me and my lady split last month. Not so sound too cheesy but they really have been amazing. A true friend will not only buy you a beer but toss you 12 rolls of ass wipe as well.

^^^ I was going to say something similar to Pillfred. I really missed ETS. It is the only board where I've overcome my shyness and met people from it. I don't know anyone that well, but somehow I feel at home here.

A bit slow to start, but then it takes off and I was up until 5AM one night cause I couldn't stop reading. Some really brutal passages, rape and sexual abuse. It'll be interesting to see how much of that gets included in the film.

A professor I really respect just sent me a message out of the blue saying incredibly nice things about my work. I'm.. it's making me kind of emo. Very unexpected.
