The last few weeks have been...difficult (we lost another family member, but it was a long time coming) and we just went back into lockdown here in the UK. I've been anxious about work all weekend, i don't think we are in a bad position and have been doing good business and my role is basically doing all the invoicing and chasing for payments on our biggest clients...on my own (the only other person how knows how is the company director, so i'd say my position is safe)...but i'm STILL ANIXOUS!

Anyway got an early morning call from my boss, obviously i was super worried...turns out i'm getting a performance pay bonus at the end of the month, another £1600...christmas came early. I'm a bit shell shocked all things considered!

Not many obvious Trump supporters in my neighborhood. But there are a few. One person had his yard just covered in Trump posters and signs and flags and what not. Today I drove by, and the flags are still there, but the pro-Trump signs have been replaced by one simple (but large) sign which says "Congrats Biden"!

The whack jobs you see on TV are not representative of all Trump supporters.

hearing the cheers of jubilation in my neighborhood yesterday, including the little parade of grandmas and little kids that went down the street hitting pans together and going "woo!"

we still have work to do. kamala harris really needs to come around on trans women & sex workers. but this is a start.

Getting invested in a new show to the point that I'm shouting at my laptop screen.

Perhaps that's a tell that I'm living far too vicariously.

    https://cavedwellermusic.net/reviews...on-poe-rituals

i got a GLOWING review for my new album today and i literally cried the whole time i read it.

    among the praise is this
Everson Poe gives us a truly remarkable offering of doom, death and depressive suicidal black metal. This was easily one of my favourite albums of the year and in my opinion stands up to many of the classic doom death albums of the 90s. The raw and emotional vocal performance is perfectly paired with atmosphere laden instrumental work to form an album that will engage and impress from start to finish. The album is themed around ritualism and tells four stories, each of which you need to hear.

All I have to say is WOW, what a listening experience. This is easily one of the best albums of the year, at least in my eyes and I highly suggest that all of you listen to it. Whether you’re a doom fan, a black metal fan or a death metal fan I'm sure that you will find something that you love about this release.
the reviewer also messaged me on IG to continue talking about my music. the fact that i touched them SO deeply with something that i created is all i've ever wanted out of my musical pursuits; for someone to feel what i felt when making the music. it's incredible and i'm so happy. can't wait for the album to come out on friday.
