HTML5 was pretty much the final nail in Flash's coffin.

Sir, I take umbrage with comparing Dear World Comma with Running in any way shape or form but I loved the review nonetheless.

There is a Flash emulator called Ruffle which should be able to restore all the Meathead toons to their former glory. Newgrounds uses it.

Also, no James Gandolfini in the latest review. I give it eleven Darryls (the twelfth one was hit by a meteorite before this post was written and is currently hospitalized, sorry).

Oh, and somebody please fix the leaking italics at the end of the HM review, thanks.

but i made soooo much money from them. i met my husband at one of the flash ad platforms we both worked for. flash ads were a good era for me.

but not good for our beloved aging meathead cartoons.

Wow, had no idea that exists, thanks!

EDIT: Wow, i just entered Meathead's site again and almost all videos have been uploaded to Youtube!

Thanks @meathead <3, just like Faith No More: You care a Lot! (or something, lol)

So weird to have Meathead back but hey, I'll take it! Loved the Not The Actual Events review (and the fact his main complaint was "hey what's the deal Trent, this is actually awesome, not fair") so much that I can ignore him being completely wrong about Dear World Comma. Will be curious to see what he thinks of the rest of the trilogy.

Actually he is raving so much about This Isn’t the Place, he forgot to shit on the rest of the EP.

to be fair “This isn’t the place” is a perfect nin song and i will “shh!” you if you talk during it at the show.

i love how he calls out his old views as not good and cringeworthy. i also really love these new updates because i can tell he’s the same but different. Still funny, but wiser. if meathead can grow personally, we all can.

i'm loving meathead's genuine surprise at the quality of the trilogy, lol. and i agree that this isn't the place is a live highlight.

i kinda love the lovers, but i also think the "song exploder" episode changed my perspective on it, i may have had the same reaction as meathead at first.

since he always seems to dislike one track per EP tho, i'm curious which it'll be on bad witch. should we take bets? or will it be PERFECT?

Has he REALLY not listened to any of these releases until this year, though?? I was kind of thinking that he just thought doing reviews of the stuff that came out during his absence might be a good place to pick back up after being gone for over 13 years.

This isn't the Place is also my favorite track on Add Violence. I was elated to finally see them play it at Red Rocks!

I was a little lukewarm on The Lovers when it was brand new, but yes!! That Song Exploder definitely gave me a new appreciation for the song and it became my second favorite AV track after hearing Trent describe what it meant to him and what was going through his head when me made it. I've said it elsewhere, but I would LOVE for him to do more episodes (the podcast or the Netflix show).

Oh, my God. This review nearly killed me. What a fucking masterpiece. It made me laugh 1,000,000 times more than the previous three reviews, and that's saying something. Hats off.

Probably somewhere between John Carpenter's Halloween, Juno and reissued Quake, maybe?

He posted on Mastodon some time ago that he was struggling with how best to review the two Ghosts records. Back on December 12, he wrote; “So I was intending to write some words and make some shitty Photoshops about the new(er) Ghosts albums. That was the plan, but I listened to the white one recently, and while I found it aurally pleasing overall, it hit me that I have absolutely no idea how to go about writing a review of it in a humorous or entertaining fashion. Not that it's ever stopped me before, but in this case it seems especially impossible. Might need some time on this.”

Fingers crossed we’re lucky enough to get another review one day!

Could be a "video-review" just like the original Ghosts album, just pick your favorite track and go with the flow...
