    Albums of the year- 2022

We're at the halfway point of the year (more, actually) .

Curious to see what everyone's favorite albums are at this point in the year, and what albums everyone is looking forward to in the second half of the year.

As of right now it's a two way tie for me:

Final- Expect Nothing and the Kingdom Will Be Yours
Final- It Comes to Us All

ambient greatness by Justin Broadrick. I love the titles, too. so glad Final is back and very active (he also had another release this year- Oblivion vol 2 which is on the extremely harsh noise side...which, in the right mood, is also great)

I'm looking forward to the new Cure album but I don't even see it coming out...hopefully I'm wrong..especially with a clip of a new song played at an award show recently.

Not sure if I have listened to THAT record of the year for me yet, but in terms of playtime:

A Place to Bury Strangers - see through you
Taumel - now we stay forver lost in space together

    Syd- Broken Hearts Club

really slick production on this one, Syd continues to improve, and she was already awesome. I even hear a bit of a Prince influence in a few tracks.

Yup, just gotta wait for payday next week to order it. Do you have "Animism" and "Retribution" as well (I had "Split Tooth" but it didn't connect me so I passed it along)?

Porcupine Tree’s new record and the two parts of the four-volume I Am The Moon by the Tedeschi Trucks Band, are instant favorites so far for me.

Hell yeah, I do. I actually still have the lighting console program saved from when she played at the venue where I used to work.

Also highly recommend Zhawenim by Digging Roots.

Half way through, here's my top:
    1. Circa Survive - A Dream About Death EP
    2. The Smile - A Light For Attracting Attention
    3. Archive - Call to Arms & Angels
    4. Underoath - Voyeurist
    5. Metric - Formentera

    I've enjoyed briefly:
    Alexisonfire - Otherness
    Anthony Green - Boom. Done.
Our Lady Peace - Spiritual Machine 2
Porcupine Tree - Closure / Continuation
    RHCP - Unlimited Love
    Silversun Pickups - Physical Thrills

Didn't enjoy as much as I would have liked:
    Arcade Fire - We
Billy Howerdel - What Normal Was
Interpol - The Other Side of Make-Believe

    Looking foward:
    Mars Volta
Tesseract (they are in studio, though it could be next year)
Yeah Yeah Yeahs (could be great, could be good, didn't find the single to be interesting)
