When I went in 17 we paid a local to keep an eye on our car that was parked on an off street. No issues, gave the dude 20 bucks and had a drink with him and hit the road.

That being said, lineup IMO is meh, I'll pass this year. See y'all in C TOWN

Damn, didn't even realize that was a thing. I mean, more of an issue in even finding a spot the last time I went for one day only. The signal there, for ride-sharing which surge prices, sucks.

I have read that Riot is super understaffed. Food lines 2+ hours long, almost as long even in VIP. MCR stopped several times because of crowd people passing out and pushing too much. Should be interesting.

I heard that's because they oversold Friday with 20,000 extra one-day passes to MCR diehards (or just rollover tickets from a previous postponed year?) instead of capping it at a sane level. Short sighted greed and quite disappointing — even enraging. But it should not affect the way the rest of the weekend is staffed, hopefully.

Yup! /R/RiotFest is saying today is way more chill. So this seems to be the case. Only worried about thunderstorms now.

Weather still not looking great, but the heavy stuff isn't supposed to hit until after 11... allegedly. Will be bringing a poncho for sure. Maybe the weather will scare some people into just staying home and the lines won't be too terrible. Need to get a shirt today.

Looking forward to seeing Coolio, Jimmy Eat World, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and then NIN. Hope everybody has a good time!

And here is to hoping the Bears @ Packers game (starts at 730 I think?) takes some of the Mexican Independence drivers home and opens up some of the closed streets I read about.

EDIT: Also, Sleater-Kinney tonight!!! Finally getting to see them.
