So apparently James Franco has released what the few critics who have actually had a chance of seeing it (as it's been in only a handful of cinemas for days) the worst film of the year?!

    https://www.theguardian.com/film/201...orst-film-2019

It sounds like an outright disaster...but is it as bad as that Fred Durst John Travolta movie?

Not sure what I think of it... but I have liked Ritchie's other crime/gangster British films. This doesn't quite seem to have the same humour as the other three (that I know of).

He needs to get off his ass and make the sequel to RocknRolla.

    I love you, RDJ.

The noobs in the comment thread kept making references to Tony Stark. What I saw was at least 2 Chaplin references. How I pity those noobs...

    I cannot wait!

Way better trailer. It really makes you think why they didn't it like this in the first place. I guess I will even watch it when the home release is due.

There's a LOT of conspiracy theories online now that they did the bad design on purpose because they knew the film wasn't very good so they'd get positive press when they revealed the real one...which is wild and so clearly bullshit lol.

I think it was just a case of movie producers being fucking stupid honestly.

A German company called Turbine is working on a 4K restoration of David Cronenberg's Crash, and if you follow what's being said in the Blu-ray.com forums about it, they are committed to putting it out on 4K UHD. It's such beautifully lit film so it's perfect for that kind of treatment now, though it's surprising it's the first of his films to be given such a restoration (that I know of).

Golden Globes noms are out and it's all Marriage Story and The Irishmen (2 films i haven't seen as they are on Netflix, and i really dislike not experiencing films first in cinemas...and i don't have Netflix lol) They're probably both very good though and deserve it.

My actual grievance though is animation, not a SINGLE ANIME NOM, even when 2 of the best films i saw this year were anime...although i doubt very much Dragonball Super Broly tried to get a nom, Trigger are too new to films to even try and get PROMARE on there and after You Name was fucked over a few years ago there's no way they'd try and get Weathering With You on any western awards lists. Still the actual list...Frozen 2, Toy Story 4, Missing Link, How to Train Your Dragon: the Hidden World and The Freaking Lion King...people joked before it was the Disney award but at least they tried to include other stuff, it's 60% Disney this year...

Of them all i'd go Toy Story, or the Missing Link just because stop motion...but Lion King will get it because Disney will put the most PR forward to the voters, even though it's the least liked by fans (and critics) of them all.

Good to see Parasite getting a few noms, i know a few on here will be happy with that

Let's face it: Paul Rudd is immortal which means he'll be around to make movies better forever. As for the trailer: Stranger Things the movie looks interesting.

Paul Rudd and Keanu should star in a vampire comedy.

And in some news that will probably surprise no one that saw the trailer, Cats is getting well and truly PANNED!

More on Cats, all these reviews are fucking GLORIOUS. Honestly this is some of the best shit i've read all year! This isn't just critics dogpiling on a bad film, they are actively getting so damn creative in their take downs of the film, this is just AMAZING! It's going to be a hit just because of these reviews, people will want to see just how bad this is!
