I don't think Smith understood what Denzel meant when he told him about the "devil". Chris Rock was not the devil, Will Smith himself was. Denzel knows that you can be your own worst enemy, especially when it seems like you've made it to the top and nothing stands in your way. Will Smith did this to himself.

As for the question of security and Smith not being thown out: I don't know how many of you were watching live as I was but when all of this unfolded, I was genuinely confused. Was this for real or fake? What just happened? It took some time for the whole incident to sink in. And it's being reported that during the break the producer of the show went to speak to Smith. Maybe the producer is the guy who had the last word about keeping Smith inside?

Althought his jokes were tasteless, Chris Rock did behave like a true professional even if he was visibly shaken. And that he was shaken was the first hint that the incident was real.

Yeah @marodi that's another thing: the "devil" bit. In Will's speech, it REALLY sounded like he thought Denzel meant that Chris Rock was a manifestation of the devil, when I'm PRETTY damn sure that's not what Denzel was getting at.

that's different than the trailer I saw in the theater on Sunday but it still looks pretty good.

I hate that Miles is Goose's son, they could have picked literally anyone else! but they picked that asshole.

Whoa... what's wrong with Miles Teller?

Also I am soooo stoked for this movie. I have a major boner for the first one as I am in love with fighter jets and this one is going to sound amazing in the theater. Planning on taking my son to his first airshow this summer. He will probably hate it hahaha.

It's been sort of an open secret for a while. As you may know, they shoot a LOT of things here in Vancouver, and one of my friends that works for PIXAR, Marvel, Netflix, you name it (does pre-vis work) was part of an indie movie he did, one of his most recent ones...and said Bruce could only work in reeeeeaally short stints. Like legit they'd shoot his stuff and get it outta the way first, even outside of the normal shooting schedule, so he could just leave once he couldn't do anymore. Very sad.

Every few weeks for the past year there's a new thread on r/movies on reddit about actors whose career went downhill fast (or about Willis specifically) which always ends up with someone coming in and telling a story about Willis exactly like the one @october_midnight just did.
