I'll withhold judgment but I honestly would be okay if this doesn't happen and is just limited to the book. The movie is so utterly perfect that any attempt to expand upon it would feel too much.
I am way more excited for Mann's Vietnam mini-series, and the other projects he has lined up to do.

This new Joker stand alone film is getting a lot of praise now that it is on the festival circuit. I hope that it can live up to the hype but at this point it sounds like it probably will.

NBC announces their new streaming platform Peacock for 2020, with reboots of Battlestar Galactica from showrunner Sam Esmail (Mr Robot) and....The Office.
I believe we've officially entered The Streaming Wars. I predict within like 3 years, networks will basically shift entirely to launching new series on the streaming platform and forego classic network programming completely.
