After an hour of trying to sync the song and clip juuuuust right, I threw in the towel. I thought it would be pretty simple, but I'm guessing they've made some trims so that it better fits the demo reel, so that makes getting a good sync difficult. I will say that the overall effect is pretty cool, though I can see why Trent might have decided not to release the video. It's fairly on-the-nose as far as a concept goes.

It's strange that what we can see of this video feels very Lynchian (or even a little Hitchcockian), and yet the video that was ACTUALLY directed by David Lynch didn't really feel that Lynchian at all.

Moving this over here before I derail the NIN Spotting thread too much.
I'd say it was very Lynchian, just not in the way that people expected it to be.
Is it me, or does it feel like Trent isn't always comfortable doing videos where he has to act? It seems like he always has issues with the ones where he has to perform as a character rather than as himself (see: The Perfect Drug, We're In This Together, Deep). Maybe he enjoys the challenge, but ends up dissatisfied with himself once he sees the finished product.
