    Build your own festival!

We've had a shortage of random threads lately, so...

Build your own festival! Ten bands, assume you're picking the set list. (Bonus points if you post the set lists.) You can choose up to two bands that are broken up / inactive* and, in the event a member has passed away, you can name the replacement.

    Pressure Cracks
    We Never Learned to Live
    Scarlet*
    Zao
    Rolo Tomassi
    Norma Jean
    Every Time I Die
    Nothingface (Corey Taylor on vocals)*
    Converge
    Deftones

I'm just picking some of my faves that I know put on a killer show. Many of these acts have basically nothing in common.

    Nine Inch Nails
    Sufjan Stevens
    FKA Twigs
    Jack White
    Tyler, The Creator
    JPEGMafia
    Modest Mouse
Hayley Williams (i'm still bummed that 2020 put her tour on ice)
    Phoebe Bridgers
    Run the Jewels

I want an all-woman-fronted lineup for my fest. I've seen these acts before, but it's been a minute:

    Xenia Rubinos
    Sunflower Bean
    Cowboy Junkies
    Natasha Kmeto
    Queen Kwong
    Peaches
    Tune-Yards
    U.S. Girls
    Ròisìn Murphy
    The Pretenders

I REALLY, REALLY want to see all of these ones though:

    Lianne La Havas
    Motel Pools
    Dengue Fever
    Joan As Police Woman
    Alvvays
    P.P. Arnold
    Meshell Ndegeocello
    The Distillers
    FKA Twigs
    Grace Jones

I couldn not settle on ten artists and even these omit many bands I‘d like to see one day but haven‘t had the chance yet (Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Deftones, A Perfect Cirlce to name a few…).

It is kind of realistic as all of those acts are either active at the moment or at least making a comeback gig from time to time. Also, I tried not to let incredibly successful bands play at noon. Still I‘m sorry for all the bands that have to play in broad daylight. But that‘s just the nature of an outdoor festival, unfortunately.

So if you‘d give me some million $$$ and a vaccine, this is the festival that I would arrange.

    Food trucks needed:

    - taco/Mexican
    - Korean BBQ
    - "regular" BBQ (rib slabs, pulled pork, brisket, etc.)
    - Corn
    - Cuban Sandwiches
    - ???

NOM NOM. Now I'm fucking hungry.

you forgot the hologram, the ten most-recently played, and the mandatory Andrew WK.

or you're not listening to the same podcasts I am and don't mind me.

but seriously, i've seen fantomas, tomahawk, peeping tom, & dead cross, and they were all incredible shows. the man knows how to entertain, and also consistently surrounds himself with other incredible musicians.
