Well, we can’t be sure, but Trent and Atticus have dropped remixes anonymously on SoundCloud before (the I Can’t Give Everything Away Farewell Mix). Also, the Saigon 1995 “recording” appears to have come out of the NIN camp and they seem to love world building enough to pull a crazy stunt like this.
After all, what better way to mark the 25th anniversary of FDTS than releasing a remix EP from a past that never existed? Even for the most dedicated fans, that would be a fairly obscure thing to do. But of course, it’s possible...
