It's a good song.
It's a good song.
What an incredibly powerful song & video. I was wary when I read the subreddit earlier with a few folk not keen on the idea of a ballad kinda tune as a return single, but I think it’s so apt, especially with what’s been happening in the world too. There feels a lot more substance than there was on the last record already, and I’m really looking forward to more.
I might be wrong, but I’m also kinda getting ‘farewell’ vibes. I know the band have already come close to splitting a few times, and kinda say “the next album may be the last” a lot, but yeah.
Me too. This video, along with the yet to be released one that Joern Heitmann filmed some time back, which had older actors in the casting call, does give an endgame feel. It could just be that the band is getting reflective.
I'd like to hear more of Till's thoughts on aging and mortality in his lyrics. It's been an occasional topic in his poems, he's mournful and very fatalistic.
For sure, it’s interesting. I was a little worried with all the weird shit Till was getting up to with his own projects - kinda like a man running out of time, but then with all the later videos he filmed as well as the below stage video thing, I was worrying these would possibly affect and undermine new Rammstein music, but this has just settled all worries straight away. It’s big, epic and meaningful, a very potent combination with the music & visuals. The production sounds better than the last record already, and Till sounds absolutely on point.
Good song. Very Ohne Diche-esque. Kinda bummed the album cover isn't a lit match against a black background though.
Wow, what an amazing track and video. So moving.
Track 3 on Apple Music says “E” next to it. Till will be swearing in English on one of the songs?
Anyone getting Bowie "Lazarus" feelings from the linen blindfolds?
This is quite trippy. In reverse the German sounds like a combination of French, Polish & Russian.
I can’t tell if Deutschland or Zeit sounds more epic. They’re melancholy in their own distinct ways.
Just glad there isn’t a Kruspe RMX of Zeit because, well, you know…
Really love the Ólafur remix even though it’s just instrumental. Very haunting.
I wonder if Rammlied will end up on this album. Didn't Richard say that they had actually recorded it or am I imagining that?
I have no clue how stuff like this comes to the surface. Is it the Russians again hacking servers or Rammstein deliberately leaking them somehow to their peers in the East? Haven't heard of these since you posted them, but would love to know how to get those.
Funny how this came to light at basically the same time, haha: https://www.echoingthesound.org/comm...393#post556393
Do you guys think that cover version of "Entre dos tierras" by Héroes del Silencio will appear on the album proper? Or a bonus track on that second disc?
Those are internal CDr copies. You'd have to have someone "on the inside" leak them. They might be on a private tracker somewhere, but they haven't made it to any public ones that I've found.

As far as the Explicit tag on the new song, "Ich Tu Dir Weh" is marked as explicit and contains no English.

I wonder if there will be a US/UK indie store variant similar to the blue marble DE one.
Re-reading the lyrics to the demo version of Alter Mann (Die Zeit) kind of makes this song even more poignant. Copy/paste the lyrics into Google German > English. They did this version live, it’s on YT:

This new track is really solid.
Just realised how much the guitar at 3:12 reminds me of Seemann.
Ps - any non-Lindemann fans who haven’t checked this b-side out, listen to it. It’s half German, half English, lol.
Meanwhile, let’s do set list wish lists:
Vergiss Uns Nicht
Feuer Und Wasser (Till being set alight then put out by water repeatedly)
Weit Weg
Hallomann
Mein Land
Rosenrot
Hilf Mir (lots of fire)
