Not sure if it's my iTunes settings or not, but this new Herzeleind remaster sounds hardly any different than the original when I play them both side by side in iTunes.

Still a great Christmas gift though, such beautiful packaging! If the band were to issue double disc packages like this for every album with a bonus disc of live rarities & b sides I would throw my money at them.

Doing a quick null test shows some more bass in the remaster, and the end of Wollt Ihr is a shorter fadeout, so my pet theory is that this is the master submitted for the XXI vinyl set.

Just got confirmation from Amazon that my XXV copy of Herzelied (vinyl) will be shipped on on Feb. 12th!

So, big news! A new record in 2021 as Flake confirmed to their label Motor Entertainment.

Here's my translation of what he has to say:

"By not being able to perform live, our creativity increased. We had more time to think up new stuff and fewer distractions. As a result, we recorded a record that we hadn't planned in this way. After all, our themes are generally from daily life and world events, and there's always something happening. Our theme is basically the nuttiness of people and it's not much different in Corona times than it is in normal times. Most of the things you deal with end up taking place in your own head anyway. There are just little impulses coming from outside, and there's enough coming through when the streets are only half as crowded."

Apparently the band is still planning to continue their tour in May. Fingers crossed.

Haha, the way I found out about this was last night I got an e-mail from the ticket provider for the Zurich, Switzerland show I bought a ticket from and I'm gonna be full on honest here... I completely forgot that I had even bought a ticket to that lol.
I don't think we're going to be comfortable/ready to travel abroad next year, so I'll just suck up the loss of the ticket.
I'd sell them, but they're the super awesome fancy giant card stock with our names on it, and that's kind of cool... but a damn expensive piece of paper none the less, lol. It was like $450 CDN for 2 tickets.
