Searching for specific NIN song

I registered here for a rather unusual request. I have a piece of a song stuck in my head for YEARS, which I think is from NIN.

The lyrics I am imagining (but are probably completely wrong according to google!) are something like

somehow
now i know
exactly what I am

This part comes from a very quiet passage, and I think is repeated a couple of times. Possibly at the very end of the song?

It's a great, often underappreciated NIN track. It made me happy to see someone wanted to search out a deeper cut! Check out the rest of The Slip; it's a little slight and rough around the edges, but it has a handful absolute gems, such as Demon Seed!

The Slip is such a strange album to me. I love it but I always stop listening after Head Down because I'm rarely in the mood for all the tracks that follow. It's all great though.

...It's actually the album that made me a lapsed NIN fan until last November.

But...I was absent from Year Zero to NTAE...so it was a recent appreciation. (And I'm not that big on Bad Witch *sorry*not*sorry*)
