One of Scorsese's unsung heroes for me is Silence. So atmospheric for such a different story, while brutal at the same time.
Also love The Irishman, but despite being a huge Pacino fan, didn't enjoy Al all that much in it.
The most shocking thing this week surrounding the film was Mark Kermode, a UK journalist, saying he met recently with Thelma Schoonmaker, MS' long time editor. She corrected Kermode's pronunciation of Marty's surname. Score-sez-ee apparently.
