Yet Trent doesn't seem to age. He looks fantastic. Totally doesn't look his age at all.

I mean, he's said there's going to be a tour this year. Hopefully supporting that angsty new NIN...

He's gonna be sitting in on drums for Late Night with Seth Meyers next week.

I wouldn’t read too much into it other than TR liking his friends’ post. I’d love to be wrong.

This isn't new but it has a low number of views so maybe it is new to you.

Broskirose on reddit has let us know that https://www.nin.com/discography/ has been updated.

Watchmen and Bird Box have been added to the scores with scans:

And if you're like me, you noticed that Deviations is still out of order on the Halos.

    Old NIN Spotting.

I just finished watching Cronenberg's Videodrome. Without spoiling the film, there are many references towards the end of "the beginning of the new flesh". Reading through the lyrics of The New Flesh again, it seems very much from the perspective of - if not heavily inspired by - the main character in the movie and what happens to him.

Then I found this quote from TR online:

"That's another tough question but some of my favourites would be Blue Velvet, 2001: A Space Odyssey and Taxi Driver. David Cronenberg's Dead Ringers is a Five Star Film though, that just popped into my head. The tone of Cronenberg's films are amazing, particularly that one. It was very inspirational to me in the writing of a couple of albums - The Downward Spiral and The Fragile. It's as well as that sense of dread when you're not sure what's going to happen but you can tell it's just not going to work out. It's not going to have a happy ending and I related to that. His sense of body horror really touched a primal instinct in me. I almost said Videodrome but that's more of a guilty pleasure... I love that movie as well."
    Source

So yeah, I'm now convinced that this song and Videodrome are linked.

What's with the two sticks in the same hand? Or is it just a glitch due to exposure? I can't help but wonder every time I see this photo

    edit: d'oh!

I think his left hand is holding it in roughly the same position behind his head and you're just seeing the other stick but can't see the hand holding it.

If you're drumming/doing percussion for a band, and have to hit play on a click track or a sample or a tape track, or just scratch your leg or something, it's easier to hold both sticks with one hand and distribute the stick back to your other hand than pick it up from wherever it might fly to if you set it down.

    Hope this helps.

Although not a current member of NIN, I spotted Justin playing bass during Elton John's performance at The Oscars.

Of fucking course the one time they do SXSW is the year I move away from Texas. Oh well. Hopefully it hits the internets.

The best covers are the ones that do something a little different. Take the song and make it their own. Straight covers are super boring. What are you trying to prove?

Not to mention they also imitated the music video, down to Rob's editing style and effects

Have just read Rob Sheridan's AMA Reddit thing. One question that went unanswered referred to the possibility that The Idea Of You was actually an outtake from the With Teeth sessions - the link obviously being Grohl's drums. Anyone have anything else concrete on this, or is this just idle speculation?
