    Trump 2020-21 - Epilogue

Signed a bi-partisan bill to help eliminate backlog in rape kit testing. Wonder how nervous he was when he held the pen.

Poor lil' guy misread the bill. He thought it eliminated all rape allegations against him.

You would think this Iran shit would help the Dems out, but old man Biden is gonna get the nomination, and we will get 4 more years of Trump and its going to take the economy crashing again and 10k+ dead troops before people finally wake up and realize supporting any Republican for president is in reality supporting the same old shit they have always stood for. Big business, the ultra wealthy, pro war, voter suppression, less rights for us and more rights for special interests. (just like in 2004).

Yah, I'm trying to mentally prepare for the election. Obviously I'll hope, but...still. It blows.

America is guilty of everything we accuse Iran of doing

I'd ask that anyone who wants to downvote this at least take the time to read the article and share their reasons for disagreeing with it.

The piece isn't meant to diminish the severity of what Trump has done, or the moronic and potentially illegal way in which he did it (still haven't read anything conclusive sounding; just lots of speculation). It's instead meant to acknowledge that we are not exactly the spotless knights in shining armor that we like to claim we are, especially when it comes to our very own presidents and other high-ranking officials.

Sadly, it's the kinda thing that always helps the Republicans. Democrats are always seen weak when it comes to wars, Obama could only sneak in because the crashing economy overshadowed our ongoing wars.
Every time the conversation shifts to homeland security, the Dems lose. Like now, they're all running on domestic issues, and if we go into war over this airstrike then Trump will surely be reelected (I'll be so happy to be wrong tho!!!)

And speaking of the airstrike: the WH says that they stopped an imminent, grave attack on American citizens. Can we see the receipts?! I think we have the right to know what it was, and to make sure it wasn't just made up, vague threat (which it will turn out to be).
We already know that this attack wasn't going to be on American soil, but in the Middle East.

Thanks for the link, more people need to read this, facts are facts.
Yet even the worst of Soleimani's record pales in comparison with the most blood-drenched American warmongers. If Soleimani deserves condemnation for arming Iraqi insurgents, then George W. Bush and Dick Cheney deserve 10 times as much for starting the war in the first place. It was a pointless, illegal war of aggression sold on lies that obliterated Iraqi society and killed perhaps half a million people, almost all of them innocent civilians. (Our own Soleimani, General David Petraeus, was connected to the operation of Iraqi torture dungeons and paramilitary death squads during the fight against the insurgency.)

If Soleimani deserves blame for helping Bashar al-Assad brutally defeat Syrian rebels, Henry Kissinger deserves 10 times as much for orchestrating the bombing slaughter of perhaps a quarter million Cambodians and paving the way for the Khmer Rouge genocide that killed 1.7 million people.

If any accused war criminal at an airport is fair game, then there are a lot of people in D.C. and Northern Virginia who better start traveling by train or ship.

Indeed, the Quds Force itself was originally created during the Iran-Iraq War, which was started by a heavily U.S.-backed Saddam Hussein in 1980. A million Iranians died in the grueling eight-year conflict. And the reason the Islamic Republic exists in the first place is because the United States and Britain toppled Iran's fledgling democracy in 1953 and installed a brutal dictator.

It is not exactly hard to understand why Iran — like about every other country in the Middle East — keeps some brutal, hard people like Soleimani around. It's a violent, unstable neighborhood, and war is an unavoidable reality. And no country is more responsible for that fact than the United States.

as long as "their" rights are oppressed and "their" vote is suppressed those voters don't care about the rest.

Statement from John Bolton (emphasis mine):

Accordingly, since my testimony is once again at issue, I have had to resolve the serious competing issues as best I could, based on careful consideration and study. I have concluded that, if the Senate issues a subpoena for my testimony, I am prepared to testify.

I'm not going to be foolish enough to think this will sway any minds BUT if any minds are to be swayed his testimony may do it.

Attacking Iran has been Bolton’s wet dream since 1979. This is his porno. Trump has delivered the goods to Bolton. Bolton knows that the Senate won’t call witnesses, so this is empty bullshit. Now that Bolton is getting what he wants (Iran revenge), he’d commit perjury before he’d sell out the guy who handed Bolton his fantasy.

Cool. The House Intel Committee should issue a subpoena and let him do just that.

His associates are starting to turn on him now. Trump only is where he is because of his enablers.

Parnas talking could be a turning point.

    https://thehill.com/homenews/adminis...n-just-ukraine

Parnas unleashed a slew of new accusations against the president, including that he, as a representative of Trump, gave Ukrainian officials a “very harsh message” that the U.S. would cut off all aid to the country if it did not announce an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden.“The message was: It wasn’t just military aid. It was all aid,” he told MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow. “Basically the relationship would be sour. We would stop giving them any kind of aid.”

From side angles, it looks like he’s looking over her shoulder at something. It also looks like he’s going to nod off sometimes lol. The dude never blinks.

So, I was curious, if Trump is removed, and Pence is also implicated and removed, next in line is Nancy Pelosi.......

I mean, I know we're talking far-fetched here, but one can dream, right? 1st female president? Who put their bets on that one???
