Had a nightmare last night that Trump won the election this year, did the 4 years, and a month after the 2024 election he died. The nightmare part was that a) he was still president and b) he died AFTER his second presidency and not during it (though I hate wishing death on people...Trump is an exception)

I was thinking about the ratings thing last night. I remember years ago when the cable news people harped about the ratings of shows on the other networks. It sounded petty at the time and it's especially petty now but it's something that has been talked about on political shows for a long time - I mean, Keith Olbermann was still on the air feuding with Bill O'Reilly! - so I think it's ingrained in political minds because of this and ratings mean something to a lot of people and for the wrong reasons to be sure.
