I live practically across the water from the World Trade Center. I was in high school on 9/11, we could see the buildings from the top of our school. The first plane flew directly over my dad's car as it was getting low while he was on his way to work.
This is up there with that feeling.

The way these scumbags are coddled and essentially left to have their run of the place, versus the brutal excessive force we have seen exerted time and time again against left wing protests...a lot of the horrible truths that we already knew are being laid out undeniably, in broad daylight. My parents were planning some road trips for after covid is over, but they've said they won't be visiting the US for several years now out of fear for their safety.

To tell you the truth, I was expecting similar shit to happen during your elections and was pleasantly surprised to see nothing of the sort happened. I guess they were still "standing back and standing by". This looks horrible and all responsibility lies with Trump and his supporters/enablers in office. Absolutely crazy.
