As much as I love them, and as much as I was genuinely surprised that they agreed to open for NIN on the Tension tour, I'm not sure if they would gel with Trent & Atticus' way of doing things.

I'd say start with "Slow Riot for New Zero Kanada". If you dig it, go back to "F♯ A♯ ∞", then work your way forward through the rest of their discography.

have you seen 28 Days Later? one of their songs was used to beautiful effect in that film.

personally, i like A Silver Mt. Zion (side project with just about 4 of the members) a bit more a lot of the time.

that said, "slow riot..." is a good place to start, but i'm always a fan of chronological listening (in which case you should start with f-sharp a-sharp infinity).

i mean, the fragile has (from what i remember) the most additional contributors of any NIN album, and several of the songs have writing credits attributed to more than just trent.

I’d like to hear Grohl on the drums again. I think that his drumming complements Reznor’s style very well.
    Others:
    Charlie Clouser
    John Frusciante
    Chino Moreno
    Gary Numan
    Maynard James Keenan
    Tom Morello
    John Taylor (on bass)
    Josh Homme
    Saul Williams
    Jack White
    Carina Round
    Angelo Badalamenti

And last, but certainly not least. Robert Smith

I would love to hear TR+AR produce some Chelsea Wolfe or HEALTH. A more realistic guess would be like Peter Murphy or Gary Numan.. can't wait to hear whatever they're working on, as always!

Now, Numan would be damn cool.

It also just occurred to me that it could totally be Todd Rundgren. Remember this?

And, following that same line of thinking, Lindsey Buckingham could be involved.

Now, THIS probably wouldn't happen, but I'd love to hear NIN work with Geddy and Alex, of Rush.

Also, thanks @chuckrh , @eversonpoe , and @BRoswell for the guidance regarding GYBE. This is an example of what I love about our little community.

This whole 'giveaway' was just TR's plan to get some unexpected recommendations.

have any of us said John Carpenter yet?

Pinar Toprak (composer of Captain Marvel's score) would also be cool!

How about getting Mariqueen to sing some hooks and bridges? I would love Dave Grohl, John 5, Keith Hillebrand and ol' Piggy him self, Richard Patrick. Even a Manson appearance would be cool.

He wasn't wrong either. The entire landscape of pop music changed after "Royals" came out. It's like she broke pop music with that song, lol. I'm not mad about it either!

Devin Townsend, though I’ve no idea what would happen if NIN collaborated with this genius.

TRAR collab with Richard Patrick and Chris Vrenna. Let's go.

Or... second Error EP with Greg Puciato, Brett Gurewitz, and Leopold Ross.

With all the stars aligning with the R&R Hall Of Fame, TR getting Dave Gahan, Martin Gore and Robert Smith together on an EP of a few tracks they all have input on would make the world of music implode with amazingness.

Considering how fans reacted to Lisa Fischer and Sharlotte Gibson in the live lineup...I am all for this!

Adrian Belew recently posted about a collaboration with a "famous friend".. he's worked on TDS, Fragile, Ghosts + HM so I think it's totally possible.

He's worked with a lot of people though, so it might not be NIN related.

in that same vein - Ludwig Göransson. He's done some really good score work (The Mandolorian/Black Panther) but also collaborates with Donald Glover, most recently on "This is America".

He says in the comments as a reply to someone who asked, that the NIN crew "doesn't need him," so I'm guessing we're getting new collaborations.

Do you think this is still going to happen? TR said in the HOF conversation that he hasn't been feeling exactly creative or something to that effect and with the pandemic and everything collaborative plans might change... Anyway here's my list:

    Dave Grohl
    Josh Homme
    Robert Smith
    Nick Cave
    Maynard James Keenan
    Iggy Pop
    Angelo Badalamenti
    David Gilmour
    Danny Elfman
    Mick Gordon
    Jack White
    Jehnny Beth
    St Vincent
    Kevin Shields
    Kevin Parker
    Death Grips
    Kraftwerk

Too bad Bowie and Prince aren't around anymore.
