would that be the red eye things? didn't see them closely and haven't watched Rebels / played JFO.

Actually it turns out that I didn't watch the episode that came out today so never mind me. but thanks!
Not in the slightest, nope.
The only other SW creatures that really creeped me out that I recall were those millipede looking things that were used to kill Padme, they're called Kouhun. Another would be the K'lor'slugs that i saw in the Old Republic MMO. Neither of Them triggered my arachnophobia though and the Acklay def doesn't bother me.

Great episode but I feel that Chapter 9 was better and more action packed.
The Child was cute this episode.
I assume by the cut off abrupt ending the next episode is a part 2.

Loved every second of the second season. I did have a few fearful moments in Chapter 9 though for obvious reasons. Loved The Child being a little bugger though.
Did'nt like the episode to be honest, the frog thing creeped my out a bit, no story progression, but I did like the rising tension when the X-Wing escorted the Razor Crest and the following chase. I really love the Razor Crest as a starship and the way it sounds, they did an amazing job on that!
So far it indeed seems like they have a way bigger budget with season 02, the effects were top notch!
THis is still the best Star Wars since the OT.
Re: Spoiler: Boba Fett
According to canon Spoiler: Jango Fett isn't actually Mandalorian, he's just another mercenary with Mandalorian armour. His armour isn't even Beskar.
According to Legends Jango Fett is Mandalorian.
Who made the switch? Dave Filoni in Clone Wars. It'll be interesting to see what direction he goes on in this...
I mean, all of that is a spoiler for Season 2 Episode 1, but sort of isn't if you're looking at other posts in this thread, haha.
Enjoyed E2 even though I think they really pushed the whole cute baby thing to another level for the kids.
I just hope it goes a little darker soon and they dont overdo things like the sequel trilogy.
loving the OT references everywhere
i have arachnophobia and this episode gave me feverish chills and i spent half of it trying not to barf. i should have just not watched. everything before that was fine and interesting. i liked frog lady (and loved her repurposing richard ayoade-bot to communicate with mando) and i'm honestly mad at baby yo for eating so many of her babies. but he's so cute that it's hard to be mad at him.
glad to see filoni as an x-wing pilot again, though. that was great.

If interested, all that info about the Sarlacc is derived from the story "A Barve Like That: The Tale of Boba Fett", by Daniel Keys Moran (under the pseudonym JD Montgomery). It's from the "Tales From Jabba's Palace" anthology.
Spoiler: The Sarlacc basically absorbs the consciousnesses of everyone it eats and so it has sort of a group consciousness that more or less speaks through the voice of its oldest victim. It spends much of the story taunting Boba until he figures out how to mess with it.
He blew a hole in it from the inside, when he came out he had to peel the armor off him because it was covered in acid. It was the canon explanation for his escape for years, and I kind of hope it still is. I wonder if they'll adapt it in part. I kinda hope so; I used to read and re-read that story until the book wore out.

I read The Bounty Hunter Wars back in 98 and it was alright. I should maybe read that again as well as the Jabba's book. Thanks!
I guess it's a speciest thing? I'm thinking in a female vs. woman thing where woman's 'root' is mankind whereas female just means the female of the species.
But then again I also could be talking out my ass for 2020 and need to grow some more. I'm cool with that.
The frog baby eating thing made me just think, "Can someone muzzle this little asshole child already?"
But he did eat that whole frog early season 1. Guess he has a thing for eating frogs.
Well, the German dubbing for one explicitly states that her "husband" found a place safe for the eggs. But c'mon... is that really something to think about? Yet, it's been the first time where I personally was annoyed at least a little bit by our little fella.
Really liked these first 2 episodes a lot. So far I think this season may surpass the first one for me, which I liked but wasn't necessarily blown away by until the finale.
Great first two episodes. The cameos make it seem very fresh and it's cool to see these actors play out their childhood dreams; you can tell they are having fun. We already got Timothy Olyphant and John Leguizamo... Very curious to see who else pops up.
Sucks that Din is definitely on his own now with the other Mandos either hiding, or being hunted down for their armor like Leguizamo's character hints at since the price for beskar keeps going up. But I love the feeling of the Republic being around and them recognizing they need all the help they can get... So I guess Mando isn't fully alone in some sense. The egg eating thing became incredibly tiresome after the fifth time... We get it. Unless eating those specific eggs come into play next episode. Was also very cool when Frog lady started hopping like a Frog when they were being chased by the ice spiders. Lots to dissect in these first two episodes.
To be fair to Mando it would have been a faster trip if her eggs weren't sensitive to hyperspace.
Second episode in and it’s filler. Didn’t progress the story at all. We just got the Star Wars version of arachnophobia. Hopefully this Friday’s episode isn’t a total waste of time.

^ Last season had a few filler episodes as well, was hoping the success of the show would prompt them to flesh things out a bit more.
I think I'm gonna let this season blow by and binge it all when it's through. Usually I wouldn't have the willpower for such things, but being a full time student and employee leaves me with almost no time, so it works.
Me and my girl decided to watch in batches, so two episodes at a time. I'll admit, I was disappointed with the filler again, but I didn't mind it this time. Just don't want things to feel rushed when we start winding down.
