All our folks in the Northeast okay? I know Matt lost power on Monday night - it just got windy where we were. My daughter's in Brooklyn and off work for a week due to the subways being offline.

Rain, rain, more rain. It's been keeping me from working, which sucks. "No work tonight boys, too wet, maybe Monday dayshift"

Aaaand.. we're inches away from flooding. Some parts of the country are already swimming and the next couple of hours are going to be critical.

Damn it's cold today! I'd almost say it's colder than (insert witty regional or generational weather analogy here): ____________.

Holy balls it's cold out tonight! Glad I'm not at work, but gonna be pretty cold during dayshift tomorrow. Fuck it, though, I need the money, I'll bundle up!

It's actually not that bad at all. I've seen it -15 in vancouver, THAT's bad. Long as it's above 0, it's still good!
What the heck work do you do that makes you stay outside all day/night? Security? Construction?

Oh, Vancouver's last summer was absolutly Beautiful! Made up for the lackluster one we had the year before.

Yeah, it was amazing, lasted right until mid-October, too! Friend and I were out having park beers at Trout Lake on that last sunny day. Next day, BAM, pouring rain for like 2 weeks straight.

Yeah, it was like 20-21 degrees on Thanksgiving. It was one of the warmest Thanksgiving's i've ever experienced. I was still wearing shorts til almost Halloween.

Pouring rain is still better than snow though. There were some snow scares in the forecast for this weekend, but I think they have been lifted. Chance we might still see something tomorrow, but it won't stay. Next week has highs between 6-8 and rain.

When it gets as cold as it has been the last couple days it really makes me miss pouring rain and +10. It's also fun to compare our weather to the rest of Canada this time of year. That always brings a smile to my face, me being from Winnipeg and all.

off to a job interview! just wish it was more than 7 degrees outside. the heater in my car is broke and after ice scraping both the inside and outside I'm going to arrive a popsicle. I guess there will be a real winter in New England unlike last year.

Fuck this and all that is unholy and cold in New England. My new windows in my apartment suck and I know I'm just heating the great outdoors. Looking forward to seeing the electric bill. UGH.

It's close to 12:30pm right now. It's a bright sunny day outside. Temperature felt (with the wind factor): -28 C which is equal to -18 F if the online conversion tool is to be trusted.

Time to take the faux fur, very ugly, ear covering hat that doesn't go with my winter coat out of the moth balls.

For Fargo weather during the start of January, yeah that's insane! You guys are like the "Winnipeg" of the United states. Asside from Alaska, can't think of a colder place in the US than Fargo, ND.

Another 40+ degree day today, don't have to work though, so I think I'm doing right by myself staying up drinking all night and sleeping through the day. Best to ditch the beer for water now though.

Scraping ice off my car sounds dreamy.

Yesterday it got up to 57, breaking the previous record high. Similar news today, but it's raining and colder winds and snow is moving in from the west.

    Thursday: Mid-30s and raining
Friday: YUCK! (Upper 30s, cloudy, drizzly, stagnant air)
    Today: Cold and windy!

And this isn't even close to how cold it can—and does—get where I live!
