Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant. It actually made me laugh out loud. I love Joe's podcast, but that is spot on. Thank you for sharing!

Edit: The only thing he missed is Joe starting the show with: "The Joe Rogan Experience is sponsored by the Flesh Light! Go to Joerogan.net, click the button for the Flesh Light and get fifteen percent off the number one sex toy for men." If he had just added that, it would have been perfect. And some weed talk. Especially about weed cookies.

On the topic of this show, by the way, I have to say that I really hated Duncan Trussell initially, but now he's one of my favorite guests. He does go a little over the deep end sometimes with his crazy theories, but he's still a really interesting dude, and when he talks about politics/society, he's spot on. I could just do with less of the, "Hey man, we were put here by ALIENS and maybe this whole world is ONE GIANT MUSHROOM TRIP, man! You never know!"

The latest episode of You Made It Weird, with Bill Burr as the guest, was FANTASTIC. Really enjoyable.

I have a really shitty attention span so I need at least one other thing to be happening while I'm working/driving/cleaning/walking the dog. Here's my list:

    Stop Podcasting Yourself
    Walking the Room
My Brother, My Brother and Me
    WTF with Marc Maron
    The Nerdist
    The Dork Forest
    Jordan, Jesse Go!

    Thrilling Adventure Hour

How Was your Week with Julie Klausner

Also if people are looking for some quality recommendations on which podcasts to check out, the AV Club does a weekly podcast review called Podmass which is really good. Obviously there are way too many out there for them to cover everything but they are pretty dead-on about some of the best podcasts on the internet.

They're definitely an acquired taste. The first ten episodes are god awful in terms of sound quality so I wouldn't even try to listen to anything before that. They are absolutely disgusting a lot of the time but I find the personal anecdotes hilarious. If I had to recommend a single episode I'd say
http://walkingtheroom.libsyn.com/-75...d-the-pig-room is pretty fantastic if only for the story about the hipster couple living in the apartment above Dave's.

^^I don't know. I may give them another shot sometime. I know sometimes these shows take awhile to grow on you, and I've heard great things about that show. I'll definitely try to check out the episode you recommended. And I actually did hear him talking about the hipster couple upstairs on one of the episodes I listened to, though I couldn't tell you which episode it was.

On another note, there are just too many damn podcasts to keep up with. I can't even keep track any more. I've probably got ten or so that I would like to check out at some point, on top of all the regulars I listen to. Or used to listen to. I haven't had the chance to listen nearly as much as I used to. I can't tell you the last time I listened to Rogan's podcast. I love that show, but I always want to hear the whole episode, and they're always two to two and a half hours long, sometimes longer. It's a huge time committment.

There's a podcast group on iTunes called Old Time Radio that does old style creepy radio stories (think Orson Welles etc). Really well done and great for bedtime listening.

Agghhh...Podmass is so awesome. I can't even keep up with all the podcasts I want to check out. I keep meaning to listen to Greg Proops' The Smartest Man in the World. See also: Comedy Bang Bang, which I've heard part of one episode of (Patton was on, so...), and wasn't very impressed with. But it seems to be one of the most beloved comedy podcasts out there, so I would like to give it another chance. I've also heard great things about Who Charted. I haven't heard much on Earwolf, but the few I've checked out I haven't been too impressed with.

I did finally get around to checking out Superego and, I don't know if maybe it was just a bad episode or what, but it was pretty boring. It's an improv show, which in theory sounds pretty cool, but it wasn't very funny. Once again, I checked out the episode because Patton was on and his bit was only mildly amusing.

It was really cool to see his house, but overall it was pretty boring. I didn't need to see Marc spend ten minutes fixing his Espresso machine.

But anyway, yeah, it was still kind of interesting. I had only seen bits and pieces of his house before, and only pictures of the garage.

It must be kind of weird to meet people for the first time and then interview them. It seemed a little awkward there between him and Mindy Kaling. Not that they didn't like each other, but it just felt uncomfortable.

They didn't show Jessica at all. Not really that surprising. I saw her in another video (some behind the scenes thing of one of the live episodes). She's actually pretty cute (and half Mark's age...shocker).

Been listening to Marc Marons WTF podcast all week. Love the ones with Judd Apatow, Louis CK and Ben Stiller. Still plenty left to listen to.
This American Life's bizarre retraction episode with Mike Daisey was a trip as well - only TAL-episode I've heard so far.

I'm a SModcast whore. Love the original SModcast with Kev n Mose and Tell 'Em Steve-Dave is equally as good, you can understand why Kevin calls Bry Johnson the funniest man he knows. Then I've listened to probably 40 eps of Jay n Bob Get Old, Hollywood Babbleon and all of Plus One. Fat Guy and Beard (FEAB), with Scott Mosier and Matt Mira from the nerdist, is good for something different. Then all the other little series were cool too... Fatman on Batman, Film School Friday, Highland: A Peephole History, Puck nuts, Red State of the Union, The Secret Stash (companion podcast to AMC's comic book store reality show with the Tell Em Steve Dave guys), SMinterview, SMoviemakers and Starfucking with Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer.

    Quality stuff!

The SModcast empire is something to behold - I've been keeping up with the awesome "Emo Kev" saga with Smith & Mosier, but there's so much from every individual series I haven't heard. One day I'll get around to it. I must say, though, the Fatman on Batman episode with Kevin Conroy was incredible: so heavy & emotional, yet funny and revealing in the best way. A true joy to listen to. I didn't think I could love Kevin Conroy anymore than I already did!

The Podcasts I'm loving at the moment are WTF with Marc Maron and the Monday Morning Podcast with Bill Burr.

I'm definitely going to pay to get the previous podcasts, for Marc Maron. I love his interviews. I think someone on ETS recommended his interview with Todd Hanson. I listened to it and was blown away, goosebumps! Powerful stuff.

Fatman On Batman's quickly become a favourite of mine. I only have a moderate interest in Batman (and zero interest in the animated series or any comics at all, aside from my beloved Sonic The Comics), but pretty much every single episode has been fairly fascinating. Kevin Smith's combination of a ridiculous gift of gab with post-orgasmic-head-stimulation sensitivity makes him an ideal interviewer, and the guests have been erudite with great stories and insights.

Speaking of fascination, Having Sex With Katie Morgan, for the pornstar's view of sex. Sadly it's not nearly as entertaining now that Cassie Young's mysteriously disappeared - replacement co-host Rebecca Love has all the charisma and insight of Word's old paperclip 'advisor' - but generally speaking it's... educating.

If you've ever had any interest in wrestling, Colt Cabana's Art Of Wrestling podcast is awesome. Constant stream of well-known guests, and because he's either a friend or peer of anyone on the show, he gets far more out of them than other interviewers.

The only podcast I listen to is The Secret Cabal Gaming Podcast, and maybe that's because it's run by a bunch of my old pals from central PA, but even though I don't actually play games much these days, I really enjoy the banter and the quality of the production.

Wouldn't this thread be better off in the main Speak your mind area, like the youtube thread/cool things you read thread? Or as a sub-forum of the Music/"what are you listening to" area? It seems out of place and gets lost easily among "games and tech" threads.

    I Main ones:

-Podtoid (podcast of gaming site destructoid.com)
    -Stop Podcasting Yourself (comedy)
-Anandtech.com podcast (PC and mobile tech, at a level not always for the layman and I fucking love it)
-Tested.com podcast (tech: pc, mobile and various)
    -The Comedy Button
    -KBMOD.com podcast (PC gaming)
-Geekbox (Gaming, tv, movie catch-all. It's ok, but some idiot host on the show can ruin it with his nonsense/backwards opinions. The other hosts will often sigh and disagree with him)
    -Judge John Hodgman

I listen to these a lot less than the above:
-WTF (only when a cool guest is on)
-Giant Bombcast (gaming, but it's kinda meh)

^^I don't listen to, well, any podcasts anymore, really, but even when I needed a ton of podcasts to listen to every day while I worked I would avoid WTF like the plague unless there was a good guest on. And even then I would fast-forward past Maron's rambling to the actual interview itself.

I do the same. He can be cool during interviews, and I've liked his appearances on Conan, but the beginning of WTF with just him talking is disposable. If he's talking to someone I don't know, I won't listen. Needless to say, it's not an automated download for me.

If anyone wasn't aware that listens to the show, hosts Jimmy Mac and Jason Swank from The ForceCast have moved on to their own independent podcast called Rebel Force Radio, these guys have always been known for their quality and star studded interviews, so I'm sure the new show will be nothing short of brilliant if you're looking for the best of the best in Star Wars podcasting, and if you're unfamiliar or not sure you can always check out the teaser above or find some old shows from The ForceCast that are archived in their iOS app.

I guess theforce.net and rebelscum.com will still want to continue the ForceCast though since it is theirs.... but they'll just have to find some new hosts. I can't see that show ever being the same again though without Jimmy and Jason but we'll see.

In any case..... Rebel Force Radio will debut this Saturday (the 19th) and then returning to their regular schedule on Tuesdays with a live show and Fridays releasing the show on demand.

    Subscribe via iTunes : http://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/r...rs/id593355728

or via RSS feedburner : http://feeds.feedburner.com/rebelforceradio

To keep up with the latest happenings with the show you can find them

I just started listening to "RISK!". It's awesome. People telling funny and/or fucked up stories from their lives, often with live recordings in front of an audience.

Discovered a really cool podcast today called The Minister of Chance. It's basically a movie without visuals. There's a tonne of different actors working on it and they all give amazing voice work, the quality is superb. I've listened to the first couple of episodes and I'm hooked. The story is a blend of SF and fantasy, if Game of Thrones were to meet Doctor Who; from what I can tell, the plot follows a barmaid called Kitty as her country is being invaded by a kingdom who have outlawed science. Geeky stuff, but very engrossing nonetheless.

Sounds cool. Definitely adding the rss to my podcatcher when I'm done typing.

I've recently (re)discovered a tech podcast family. Different types of specific and generic tech feeds under its umbrella:
