There are 3 variants I believe, 2 by JHW3 and a Dave McKean variant.

Fuck! I need to pick up each cover before they fly off the shelves, one of my most cherished posessions is my Sandman collection: I own the first printing of each single issue of the series, also all the Vertigo previews, one-offs and gallery specials. So I need to get on this ASAP!

I'm glad the word of mouth is great on the new stuff!

I love horror manga and wish there was more of it.
One of my favorites is Uzumaki (Spiral), which somebody has scanned up uploaded apparently

fans of Japanese supernatural horror and comic books should check it out. Awesome stuff.

Agred, the Dave Mckean one is awesome i already have the "regular" cover but i do want the other one...

I'm not complaining or anything and i know it's f'n Sandman, but damn that comic is expensive! (5 bucks!), i hope this price doesn't become a "trend" for future DC titles...

On Topic: any fans of "The Maxx"? this month "The Max Maxximized" is appearing on IDW, i'm so picking it! it's my favorite comic ever!!!

Great, if you like the show you'll love the Season 10 comics.

Besides Batman, Green Lantern is my favorite DC superhero. Sinestro is badass.

Right now i'm reading "Rise of the Third Army", its entertaining but a bit similar to "Blackest Night", but Geoff Johns sure knows how to write characters, i even liked the "new" arab-american Green Lantern...

Off topic: Didn't knew you were a comics fan, great!

I love the New 52 stuff.

I am but don't advertise and state it openly much. Not that I'm ashamed but for the fact there's never been a real need or longing to. I just recently found this thread as well.

I don't own too many comic issues but I lean more towards DC than Marvel. Not that Marvel is bad but I like DC more. Some I like mostly:

    Batman
    Green Lantern
    The Flash
    Teen Titans
    Justice League
    Venom
    Captain America

It's on my list of things to check out, I saw some of the art online and it's pretty great, I'm sure I'll like the book. It got good word of mouth too, so that's a good sign.
(Still, no Godzilla will beat a Triceratops impailing the bride and groom on their wedding, or a Pterodactyl smearing someone's face on the Washington Monument )

Shocking censored image of "The Killing Joke" revives the debate of wether the Joker "raped" Barbara Gordon (or not...)

Speaking about Joker. I'm gonna begin getting the New 52 Harley Quinn series that started in November. The local store has Issue #0 on back order for me. #1 comes out the 18th of this month.

    For those interested:

I picked up an embossed Zero Year Batman issue last week a long with the latest Flash and X-Files comics. X-Files has a new mini-serial about the Flukeman!

I saw "Zero Year", gotta try it out...

I'm not a big "Flash" fan or anything, but Manipul and Bucelato are doing a decent job, i think the art is great on this one, are you reading Wonder Woman? the Brian Azzarello run is kicking some serious ass!

Issue #0 focuses on her imagining how a comic book about her would be made and who would illustrate it. The comic has the art styles of several artists that depict her differently in each version. It really showcases and diversifies the art of all the wonderful artists out there. It also makes a joke about the DC Offices…funny stuff.

It's extremely goofy and kinda breaks the 4th wall to an extent. The series isn't made to be taken too serious. I read ahead on future issues and in issue #2 she teams with Poison Ivy to rescue puppies from a dog pound or something of the sort.

If you like comedic viewpoints and/or Harley Quinn it's a definite buy.

Sounds interesting and not the "typical" New 52 comic, i do like Harley, still i like her in small doses and as the Joker's sidekick, i wasn't quite sure how a solo series starring her would work, but after your review i would say it's worth checking...

Permission to join the bandwagon? I've started getting into comics in a big way this year. I've always been kinda interested in comic book 'culture' and enjoyed them from afar, but decided it was time to finally take the plunge. Been reading up on a lot of Marvel and DC 'big' titles: Killing Joke, Watchmen, Superman: Earth One, Civil War. Also, really been enjoying the Marvel Now and New 52 series like All-New X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy and Superman Unchained. The Massive is pretty good too...I think someone mentioned it earlier.

So, any recommendations for a n00b?

Also, Space Suicide I'm totally going to get that Harley comic for my sis's Christmas based on your review, she's all about Harley Quinn.
