I wasn't at the shows in June, but I seem to recall reading on here that someone said the hotel/venue staff wouldn't allow anyone to lineup early.
Where did everyone form the line in this case? Can someone clarify what they meant by no early lineups if people lined up early anyway?
Dammit! I should have checked this thread prior to buying the tickets! I didn't realize there was a VIP option as well. Although, it doesn't seem like it offers that much more, other than getting slightly earlier. Hopefully I can still get against the railing.
Yeah, I'm kind of jealous/disappointed of this "VIP" option as well that I didn't know of. But to be fair, the price is quite steep. I'll take my chances in the regular line. Even if not rail, 2nd row behind rail is still decent. It's nice to have that rail to lean on durin the show though.
I hope Vegas doesn't get a "singles special" it not having a "physical world" presale. He wouldn't do that... right... right!? We're gonna get the special songs too?
Guess we'll see how the festival setlists look like next week.
I'm hoping with NIN already playing 3 shows at The Joint last June that they will look at those setlists and make sure these new dates at the same venue will have a bunch of the new special songs they'e been playing. Did you get your hotel and flight yet? Westjet and Aircanada prices both went up yesterday after the public tickets went on sale. My $1025 flight and hotel package is now $1250!

No, I haven't booked anything yet. I've been monitoring the prices of al va carte VS packaged deal, and they are very comparable. The thing with me is, I can't do a morning flight, so the Air Canada pre-packaged deals all have you catching a flight at 7:45am on Sunday! hahahaha. Yeah right! Sunday after the show. That's hilarious. Once you start "modifying" the flights to your needs, the prices are no different than if you buy the flights and hotels separately.
I have all the prices on a paper from checking 2 days ago, checked again today, they are the same still for me. There is a WestJet bundle that is just under $1000, but they make you take the stupidest flights ever... Fly to Calgary first and transfer? No thanks.
I also compared 3 days VS 4 days. Going out on the Wed VS the Thursday. Surprisingly enough, doing an extra day is cheaper if you pick the flight and hotel separately for 4 days, but if you do the 3 day, it's cheaper bundled. So there are many factors to consider. Are we going to stay at the hard rock, or go for a cheaper hotel that's close. It would be convenient to roll out of bed, walk downstairs and be in the line already for the show, lol.
I saw the shows at the joint in 2013 before. I stayed at the Hard rock then, so I know the setup. Also, beats walking outside for 30 mins in the cold. I was surprised that Vegas highs in December are only +14 and the lows are +3... That's like Vancouver weather, I didn't realize Vegas was that cold. I remember when I went in 2013, it was mid November. It wasn't killer warm, but it was maybe +18-20 during the day and +9 at night. You definitely needed a sweater at night. Nobody was using the pool though. I remember walking on the strip and some lady that was holding a sign trying to get people to go into something called us out from being from Canada. I was like "How the hell did you know?" and she was like "The locals wouldn't be caught dead in shorts this time of the year, this is our winter" lol.
I mean, it wasn't THAT cold, but there were people in full blown winter parkas walking around.
But yeah, back to packages... I'm gonna wait a bit. Air Canada always has seat sales this time of the year. They just had one last week before the show was announced.
I remember looking at prices of flights to Vegas and they were like $250-290 and now they shot up to $380-480. I bet they'll have a "fall sale" or a "thanksgiving sale" in the next couple weeks. Just gonna keep monitoring the prices.

Asking for some friends, but has anyone that got the VIP GA *not* receive a confirmation back yet? I'm worried for them and I'm wanting to see if there's others in the same boat.
I haven't received mine yet. :-) Naybe Mondayyyyyyyy.
I have not yet received one either.
Fuck, this is weird. They sent their forms in as soon as the shows were announced and haven't gotten a confirmation back. Meanwhile, I barely sent my CC authorization form on Friday morning and I got mine that day.
I got an email back from Emily. She said that she is off this weekend, but will be back tomorrow. That we will get confirmation sometime "this week".
Weird that it is being handled so different from last time, but thankful to have heard back! I was getting pretty nervous.
After the tickets are settled, I am going to reach out to her to see if there is anything that we can do about the merch situation, because it sucked hard in June.
It seems like when we go in to pick up our tickets, we should just be able to visit the merch booth at that time. Last October we could get merch before we went in, so not sure what changed between October and June!
I hope that something is able to be done about the merch situation because as Nellyriffic said, it sucked having to decide between rail or merch.

I just got my ticket confirmation, so if you are still waiting, it is probably coming soon!
anxiety intensifies
There is no identifiable order that I can determine. I emailed mine like 12 seconds after they were announced and didn't hear back until yesterday. Ruben up there submitted his Friday and got confirmation Friday... So it is all over the place this time. Really weird.
I know that it is a lot to do and process. I just wonder why this time it has been so different.
yeah I emailed HRH within the hour of NIN's announcement and sent in my CC auth within 24 hours. just getting antsy now since I can see my room charges but no corresponding ticket charges.
Got my confirmation - I can rest easy now.
Just got my confirmation as well.
