but the democrats have never been a fall-in-line party like the republicans.

Trump brought the Republicans around by fighting for what he said he'd fight for. And by lying quite a lot. Quite, quite a lot. Really, so much lots of lying.

Anyway, I could see Bernie doing this same thing sans lying. He has already, nearly single-handedly, moved the party quite a bit to the left and changed the conversation. Even the moderates would have to admit that their platforms have all been affected by Bernie. I can at least see the possibility of this playing out where centrist Democrats get more and more on board as time goes along.

I mean, just look at you silly fuckers. You're all a week or two away from being Bernie Bros.

shame on CBS for allowing that fucking mess tonight. Part. the first 40 minutes or so (maybe more). I won't even get into the typical lies & smears that go my candidates way, I'm just outraged at all the crosstalking, going over time, arguing, etc that went on...the gaul to allow a Bloomberg ad to air during a commercial break (nevermind the anti-M4A one)...and the allowance of the bought & paid for DNC insider audience to hoot, holler & boo all night like this is WWE. It was disgusting frankly, and easily the worst debate yet. No one won.

The contrast flipping back and forth from this to the Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool documentary on PBS was hilarious.

I'm not a political person; I don't vote, etc. I was unsure if that's normally how these debates worked or if it was just a cluster. I'll tell you this though, that Pete guy is a smug fuck.

This would be a great time to get educated and change that.

Regarding format, technically, yes, that's how they all work. Last night's debate, however, was horribly moderated. Atrocious. Embarrassing. To contrast, I thought the MSNBC debate in Nevada was fairly well run, Chuck Todd notwithstanding. It's a bit of a clusterfuck in the primary phase when there are so many candidates. As the field narrows the debates become more substantive and can 1. drill down on topics important to voters with multiple questions and follow-ups and / or 2. address a wide range of topics while still giving each speaker ample time. There are probably 2 too many heads on the stage to be truly effective in a 2-hour format.

Warren folks are the new Bernie Bros for 2020. Warren is tight though, she's no Bernie but she's no Hillary either.

I was reading about that earlier. The comments people were leaving on his page....fucking hell. People like that are how we ended up with Trump.
