Been following a thread on that over on reddit. It appears to be a legit group (in regard to actually having hacked the law firm - they dumped over 2GB of files on Lady Gaga).
That said, I don't believe for a second that they'll dump anything on Trump, either because they don't actually have anything or because giving a weeks' heads-up will be long enough for law enforcement to find them and shut it down.
But in the off chance that they DO dump anything, my money is on "boring shit that will either be old news, or surprising / disgusting only to those who already hate him". This won't affect the election or his presidency at all.

I don’t think they ONLY hacked the law firm; I think they’re pretending to shake down the law firm. No bank can even transfer that much money, ever, so they want crypto; it’s just a pretend demand. And I doubt the FBI can find them.

Love PBS.
But in a way, I can see the potential for some good coming out of things like the "morbidly obese" comment. For starters, it didn't detract from her ability to work at all, so it's not like something important was left undone because of the comment.
What it has done, however, is gotten a lot of Trump fans riled up about how childish and immature it is for a "supposed leader" to talk like that. Bam - open door to ask them why they applaud the current president for doing it. Most people will ignore you or double down on some bullshit reason that it's okay for HIM to do it. But every once in a great while, and I say this from experience, you'll actually see someone kind of sputter for a second first and then have that lightbulb moment that they've desperately needed. Sometimes you really need to hold the mirror up, just for a second. I'm not saying "stop legislating and behave like children all the time and just run your whole life in a tit-for-tat manner". Once in a while though, you just need to remind people that maybe the things they're celebrating aren't so awesome after all, and the only way to get through to them is by putting them in the hot seat.
