There were also private/unlisted videos for the individual tracks on the official NIN YouTube account earlier today that I can't find anymore.

Probably auto-generated audio content by the label. If it's not available in your region, you won't be able to see the video in listings.

Yeah, that is kind of crazy. It looks like it is gone from everywhere it was available earlier this week.

I have what I believe to be the digital remaster that was available before. It is definitely remastered, having completely different levels than what's on the CD, but it is a remaster of the pre-emphasized audio. Is that what the vinyl has on it?

Yep. The frequency response is a little bit less harsh but it's definitely not the de-emphasized version.

That's... bizarre. I wonder what the reasoning was for that.

Well, the simplest explanation is they wanted those high frequencies in there, and the pre-emphasis flag was simply a mistake on CDs that have it.

For now, but donít count on it being playable for too long.

Amazon.ca are totally clueless on release dates. It was temporary out of stock yesterday now today just the listing. Gonna really wait till January 22. I see another Watchman fiasco lol.

So I'm watching the latest LGR video and I spy this... to add to the credits situation.... but does that mean TR did the effects and NIN did the music?

Itís even more complicated than that I think. Certainly TR/NIN only did some of the effects, however the credit is doled out. Some of them are taken from royalty free sound libraries and modified only slightly (same technique used in doom), and John Romero claimed to make a bunch of others himself too.
