    Cold Cave

Jesus, Wes Eisold doesn't have a thread on ETS? That's insane..

Cold Cave may be derivative af, but I don't care: the music is fantastic. Cherish The Light Years -- an album even Wes himself dislikes -- gets maximum play in my life. I remember seeing American Nightmare Give Up The Ghost in Wilkes-Barre back in like 2003 and it was insane. Then a bunch of years later I heard Love Comes Close and couldn't believe it was the same guy who fronted GUTG and Some Girls

I can't describe how happy I was when Death Shits dropped off that NIN/Soundgarden summer tour and Trent picked these guys instead. This band is everything I love about 80s college new wave for the modern era..

Cold Cave are good music, but I prefer American Nightmare. To have a guy with one arm fronting the most energetic band in hardcore at the time was so friggin' cool. Look at their shows:

I fell in love with them after seeing them open for NIN in Europe in 2014. I'd love a new album ASAP.

I interviewed Wes for the Cold Waves festival podcast series:

    https://soundcloud.com/coldwavessoun.../608-cold-cave

He said another album is another year or two away.

New single dropped an hour ago. I'm obsessed with it already (even though it's totally a New Order ripoff).

I’m surprised having opened for NIN on two tours recently they don’t have a thread on here yet.

New EP You & Me & Infinity this June:

Thanks to Death Grips being dumb I never would've found Cold Cave initially after the replacement spot on the tour.

I somehow heard Confetti before the opened for NIN so it’s a rare case of me knowing a band Trent supported before he ever mentioned them. I love Eisold’s work and think Full Cold Moon and Love Comes Close are both fantastic albums.

Saw them last night and they were fucking great live. Go see Cold Cave. Oh and Genesis P-Orridge popped in for a song, which was kinda neat.

Anyone in LA going to the Ministry/Cold Cave show tomorrow?
I have the ticket for the show only, but really want to see the screening of the film as well.

Today Bandcamp is giving 100% of sales to the artists, so in digging around I realized Cold Cave have a few songs that managed to slip under my radar:

    Waving Hands

    Promised Land

And there is a deluxe edition of Love Comes Close with a few new to me bonus tracks at the end

    that's great but why aren't wes & mark standing 6' apart? -_-

it is weird to hear mark's voice in a higher register, all of his vocals for qotsa are so low

They seem to have now released a variant for each color in the cover.

4 of the 7 tracks off the new album have now been released. At this rate it seems like they're planning on releasing the whole thing one track at a time before the full-length record is released on June 11.
