    accidental tones

    Hi

I'd like to introduce my music project. It's called "accidental tones" and if you like noise, drone, ambient and other lo-fi noise experiments then you may want to take a listen.

Here is my bandcamp page with my first e.p - https://accidentaltones.bandcamp.com/releases

    Cheers!

I took a listen to this. At first I wasn't getting any buzz of it, but once I stopped looking at the waveform and just sort of heard it in soft focus it turned out to be nice enough. I'm probably missing the point entirely but it reminds me of some of Justin Broadricks' Final recordings. I would have to get very stoned to take in a full length of it though I reckon. If this track is representative of the catalogue, I mean.

There is "prettier" stuff on the 2nd E.P I guess and more to come, but I'm interested in doing both non/anti music noise stuff, and more accessible sounding ambient/drone.
Thanks very much for taking the time to listen.

This is an experiment that came together after I read a book about the serial killer Dennis Rader, aka BTK.
The track is made up of audio taken from Youtube videos of Rader speaking at his trial, the audio was then manipulated using various FX pedals, it was then recorded to cassette tape using a Tascam 4-track.
The result is abstract, yet Rader's voice is just about recognizable somewhere in the distance.
    No other instruments were used.
