Five piece family band from Texas. The three girls sing, although one of them only started doing so recently. They have three full albums and a few EPs, with another EP coming out on February 14th. They will be touring again after that, with their younger sister opening up for them again.

Some years ago, I was introduced to this band by my roommate in college. I've always enjoyed female singers, even though they are the minority when it comes to the music I listen to. At the time only two of the girls were singing on their songs, but I like both of their voices so it was an easy decision to listen to everything they'd done up to that point. The music is pretty decent as well and I've been a fan ever since. I saw them for the first time in concert on Halloween last year, and then I went to a local radio station back in February (or something) and saw them do a 4 song acoustic set. I'm definitely going to try and make the show here in Detroit this coming March.

These guys live a few miles from me, and I've been following their music for years, but I only recently saw them live. They're absolutely fantastic! Really nice people, too. I don't know if it's always like this, but at the show I went to they actually stood in the crowd to watch the opening bands, and sold all of their merch themselves. That really impresses me, to see such down to earth people in bands. They've also recently said that they plan to get much more experimental with their music, so I'm really looking forward to hear what they do next.
