    Congrats!!!! Happy for you. Not sure I can top it.

    Although I'm pretty darn happy that I managed to buy my 9 year old her first real drum set for Christmas this year. Watching her play at lessons tells me she's in love with the drums, truly in her element.

    My sister is having a baaaaaby!!! It was a matter of time before she started a family, but this was sooner than I was anticipating! EEEE! I can't wait! I just really really really wish she wasn't in brasil- or rather, that I wasn't in the states. This is making the fact that I'm here suck so so much...I want to be there celebrating with the rest =[

    Thanks: tell me about it! After seven gruelling months of failure I finally got a one-year teaching postdoc. Nothing fancy, but it's something and the money will help. Back on the job market in september...but such thoughts have no place in this thread!
