Further delays move the film to April 2020...

I'm sceptical we will even see it that soon...

The rumoured title was Shatterhand. And I still want to see Christoph Waltz take another stab at Blofeld. I thought he was great in Spectre, it just took three quarters of the movie to get to his scenes. A new movie where he's already the Blofeld we know for the whole film has great potential, IMO.

Some major updates. Still no title.

Glad Jeffery Wright is returning. He was the best Leiter, by far.

Yes - of the returning cast Wright is the most positive addition for me. I'll be happy if Harris gets more to do, but I won't get my hopes up. I am assuming that Waltz will be a surprise return, but I certainly look forward to seeing what Malik can do as a villain. Afraid to say I don't feel particularly bothered about Seydoux - she was one of the more forgetable parts of Spectre, I thought.
I just hope that Craig definitely does call it a day after this one. I like him very much as a Bond, but this series really hasn't followed up on the promise of Casino Royale and I'll be really sad if this final instalment (if it is that) doesn't go out with a bang.
Assume Waller-Bridge has been called in to add some zip to the script. I'm a big fan of her work, but I get the impression some people might be overstating her level of involvement, although I'd be happy to be proved wrong on that.
Does seem weird on the title though. What with all the previous 'hoo-ha' on this topic I thought they'd just get it out of the way. This hasn't happened before has it?

Strange that they did not reveal the title for this... Malek? Okay, have to deal with it and there's potential that they build him up nicely as a villain, but this reeks of post-Oscar casting. Happy Craig is returning for one more, but I can only agree: make this one count and in line with Casino Royal. I loved that one and Skyfall, Spectre and Quantum fell a little flat, but were of course very well executed in their own rights.

I just love the excitement that goes with a new Bond movie. It's always a good time at the cinema and feels very classy with everything that's surrounding it.

So first off, due to rewriting while the actual thing's being filmed...one insider is calling the next Bond movie a well-polished shit show.

Oh, and now shooting has been suspended due to Daniel Craig injuring himself and being flown from Jamaica to the U.S. Good stuff!

Normally with Bond movies there is a big roll-out with the cast, the name of the movie is announced, etc. This movie has gone though at least two directors, script re-writes while filming and they don't even have a title. This doesn't bode well for a good film.

Still, Solo went though worse and it was still an enjoyable movie. Superman II went through production hell and is one of the best superhero movies ever.

Hopefully they can sort it all out in post-production. I don't get it, they had four years to come up with a cast/director/script.

This stuff happens unfortunately. It would have been nice to get it all running smoothly and having a really strong send off for Craig but it is what it is, too much behind the scenes fuckary.

If this is true, then (as much as I hate to say it) perhaps they should delay the movie to allow the filmmakers as much time as needed to make a quality film that will satisfy audiences and, as a result, perform the way they want/expect it to.

Yeah, why is 4/8/20 set in stone? And an ankle injury is no joke and Craig is now in his 50's.

I think alot of these dates are harder to move then we think thanks to studio's taking into account how much they 'think' a film will make while working out their forecasts. Bond will be a BIG money maker, so any delay will really fudge their forecasts...which also doesn't help films getting rushed just to meet a date.

Well...April 2020 is still the projected release date, and now Daniel Craig is going to be having surgery on that ankle. Production said to continue for approx. two weeks during his rehab afterwards.

This reminds me a lot of when Harrison Ford fractured his ankle while shooting Star Wars: The Force Awakens, subsequently halting production and delaying it for (again) two weeks.

It better be. Done by Rami Malek. With false teeth while he spills out his evil masterplan.

If this next Bond doesn't end up cratering the franchise for too long, I was musing on how Michael Fassbender (Erik/Magneto from the last 4 X-Men flicks) should be recast as Bond. Dude is always a solid actor and would be great.

Iain Glen would bamke for a nice Bond imho, albeit an elder one, but I could picture something like this along the road. Bond near retirement going for his last missions or coming out of retirement one last time.

Was watching John Boyega in Pacific Rim: Uprising, where he was using his English accent. If they really wanted to buck tradition, which I'm all for, Boyega would make a superb James Bond.

I'd be down for Boyega, he has bags of potential, is British and quite young still, all the boxes for a future bond! And his big gig with Star Wars is almost done so i'd imagine he has a nice free(ish) schedule.
