Gotta agree with the comments... looks a little bit too Star Wars for Bond, but the teaser was promising. Like every Bond teaser I can remember.

Yep! I can't wait to see what Rami Malek does with his role. I'm getting some serious Jigsaw (from the Punisher Netflix show) vibes with that mask and the scars. I'm also very curious to see how Blofeld factors in. Hopefully he isn't just relegated to a small cameo in the first act.

That line about Malek playing God really makes me think, and this is a fan theory that I've read about:

And this is a BIG spoiler:

Spoiler: Malek is Dr. No. Connery made a similar comment to Wiseman in Dr. No

Would actually be a pretty cool twist.

Considering what's been happening behind the scenes...this looks good. Granted it's just the trailer, but they could have fucked even that up!

Love the new trailer! Nice to see Bond's physical decay played up, and the new Double-O agent looks... Bad. Ass. Were they keeping her under wraps til now?? Had no idea about her.

The biggest compliment I can pay is that it really makes me wanna watch Spectre again – which I've never wanted to do until now. I liked it, but never felt compelled to revisit it after seeing it in theaters.

That double-O agent reminds me of Mayday.

    BAD SPY

White tux stained red, my victim's blood
    SPECTRE, you're a terroristic dud
Extorting, but why? No one really knows
    Incompetent criminals
Like bruises, on Bond girls' knees I do
Don't shake and stir for me, I'll do
my Martinis the way I want to
    Blofeld? An imbecile

    So you're a tough spy
    Like it really rough spy
    Just can't get enough spy
    Chest always so puffed spy
    I'm that bad type
    Make your daddy sad type
    Make your boyfriend mad tight
    Might seduce your mom type
    I'm the bad spy, duh

    I'm the bad spy
I like Moneypenny giving me the look
When I throw my Stetson on the hook
M loves me, gives me dangerous cases
I hunt clues, bag broads like animals
Q's branch likes to out-fit me
But he starts out, all "Honestly..."
If the Queen really knew all that I do
    She'd replace me with 0-0-2.

    So you're a casino guy
    Like never wearing chinos guy
    Just makin' the car fly
    Blow the henchmen sky high
    I'm that bad type
    Drive an Aston fast type
    Make your Lotus water tight
    Inspire Austin Powers type
    I'm the bad spy, duh

    I'm the bad spy, duh
I'm only good at being bad, bad
I like when I get caught
I guess I'm close to getting shot, but we all know
    I will escape, you'll see
I mean, don't know what Goldfinger was thinking
But maybe it's 'cause his laser was aimed too low

    I'm a bad spy
    I'm a bad spy
    Bad spy, bad spy
    I'm a bad-

    “Inspire Austin Powers type”? LOL

Isn’t that just the lyrics to her song Bad Guy changed to have Bond references in it? Hoax right?

It really is. The timing of every sound is so well thought out, and brings me back to when I was a kid wasting time away with this gem.

So Billie Eilish released her Bond theme last night, 7pm my time.

What do you all think about No Time To Die?

So at first, I didn't really like it. But, I was in a loud environment. Once tucked away in a small room, I was able to listen to it in depth. I really like Billie's voice, she has a really smooth sound here. The instrumentation picks up around the 2 minute mark and I wish that it built up a little sooner. After a few listens, I think it's a good song. I really like the mood and the lyrics. The place where I listen to music the most is my car, so in that context it might be a little too quiet during the beginning. I'm sure in the opening credits, it'll have more impact.

Oh, and it reminds me a bit of Writings on the Wall by Sam Smith. And I don't know how to feel about the last guitar riff at 3:50.

Bond song by the numbers and yes, I agree, it takes too long to build up. Once it does it's a good song. Good, nothing more, nothing less. I'm mostly looking forward to the visuals though.

And damn, here's to waiting another couple of years to see a band like Radiohead do the theme or Noel Gallagher. Hell, I'd love a Massive Attack or UNKLE Bond song down the line, but those will never happen I guess.

I wish that Spectre (the film) could have had the Radiohead song used in it, instead of Writings on the Wall. Massive Attack would be a great option too.

I feel the same way. The only really great Bond theme from the Craig-era, IMHO, was "You Know My Name." This is on-par with the Adele and Sam Smith numbers--works or the film, decent, but not amazing.

Can't get any worse than that Jack White / Alicia Keys song... And yes "You know my name" was rather fitting for this new harsher Bond that Craig portrais. I loved Adele's "Skyfall" tough as it transported the gravitas of the movie itself rather good and well, Adele has no matter what an amazing voice. Smith's song was abismal as well so I take Billie's song any day.

I didn't mind the Sam Smith number. Worked for the scene.

I really like Billie Eilish's theme. Adele's is the best main film theme.

However I really love this also.

I may have to listen to it a few times to let it sink in. Apart from Billie's voice, I found the song underwhelming. I agree that it takes way too long to build, and, when it finally does, it still sounds subdued to me. I think this probably would have benefited from more live instrumentation, especially drums.

Update: Listened several times in my car, and my opinion is unchanged. It has all the elements for a great Bond song, but I think it holds back too much. Like, why are the drums that come in so in the background? They come of as an afterthought rather than something to help build the song more. Then again, I had similar opinions about "Fear Inoculum" when the song was released, but it eventually grew on me. Perhaps this will, too. Especially after seeing it with an opening sequence.

No one will ever do them better than Shirley Bassey for my money.

Hell remember the movie Spy with McCarthy and Statham? THAT did a better Bond theme than any of the last few movies.

I remember good times, Bono/The Edge writing Bond song (GoldenEye, Tina Turner), and the other half of U2 doing Mission Impossible theme (Mullen, Clayton)... just a side note here. :-)

I've always been partial to this proposed theme song, even though it was ultimately rejected

Being this long, they should've called it You Only Piss Once.

    Thanks, folks.
