Just to give a little hope to the ones who can't get in and are waiting outside for a miracle. When Metallica did their secret Webster show a few months ago they let in people who waited outside all day. The venue wasn't at capacity even though it was SOLD OUT.

So we just got into line. There's a girl running through the line asking for names and ID to check off the list. I told her there won't be a name for us since we bought them off StubHub. She said there's a 50/50 chance they could be fake. I was already questioning how legit these might be, so I'm very nervous. But we have to wait in this line to be checked over before they even scan them.

I'm in, and I'm about three people back from the stage. I've been listening since I was a little kid in the mid 90s. Never saw them. I cannot believe I get to see them in an intimate setting like this. Hooooly shit I am extremely happy right now.

All you people are sweating up next to each other and I'm sitting next to a power outlet for 3 hours at fucking LaGuardia but in all seriousness I am so happy so many wonderful people are about to have an incredible experience in such a fantastic and historic venue with a band that somehow almost 30 years in is putting out more energy than they have in almost a decade. I cannot wait to see what songs you lovely people get to see and hear about what it was like -- these tour threads are an awesome way of getting a sense and creating a permanent record of what an ephemeral experience was like and that's kind of extremely amazing.

Quite a bit different from the Wave Goodbye shows. I took out a second mortgage (or at least it felt like it) and paid for two tickets so I could get escorted into Bowery Ballroom by a scalper who wasn't going to stick around for the performance.
