well, I've updated the store on my site. Vinyl copies are five bucks (plus shipping). Ignore the part where it says domestic shipping only. I'll ship international.

    http://sirensection.com/store

Oh yeah, and I had to go back and check who bought the other copy.. thanks @Rdm
Sorry bout that. You'd think with only two copies sold I'd remember who bought both of them. My brain is falling apart.

this feels like your version of a telefon tel aviv song, but mixed with something darker then they ever did, and i LOVE IT. please finish it.

    WOW! Thank you!

I've been throwing together an album that I will hopefully be finishing off soon. Almost everything on that track (except the guitar and vocals) is modular synth stuff. I've been thinking it would be a good exercise to throw something together that works almost exclusively in that realm.

If I stick to my time table it should be done in a month? Here's hoping

I enjoyed it, the production sounds great.

Are you guys keeping the vocals low? Either way I like it

The vocals will be brought up a bit in the final version probably... these were scratch vocals. I literally sang them in one take into my laptop microphone... though I kind of like the tinny quality of the recording, so I think I'll do a blend when I do a proper recording with a good microphone...

I guess I also tend to mix my vocals low... but they'll be brought up a bit probably when it comes to the final mix. Thanks for the listenings

Uploaded a new track! For some reason the upload seems to have a boost in the sun frequencies, so if you're listening on a big system you might want to pull down the lows a bit?

I can't get into why, but if anyone reading this could click play for a few seconds on that new track there, if only for a moment, and then hit like shortly afterwards, you'd be doing me a fucking huge favor.

On a side note, I also hope you like the song enough to keep listening

    New track is lovely @Jinsai

    it has such presence.
you have to like "work," like listen to the buildup to be rewarded with the beautiful groove and vocal.

It reminds me of that old saying "Play twice before listening."

    "in the aftermath of us..."
yes it goes hard n a motherfucker.

thanks for the nice comments! We have a mix that's a lot better but I don't want to kill off the soundcloud link, especially since it seems an internet radio site has put us in their rankings! We peaked at #8 or 7 I think, but we've slid down to 20 at the moment.

But if you wanted to do us a solid, send a traffic through their portal and click the star!

We're going to upload a new track on Friday that I'm both excited and weirded out about. It's the poppiest thing we've ever done, but I still like it. I'm manicuring the edges... weird new wave revival noise pop. Never thought that would be a thing I'd say.

I also have a giant load of solo ambient and glitchy electronic stuff I'm planning to upload, along with a bunch of modular jams. Just not sure where to put it. I figure the sound cloud is probably fine... though it might be confusing. But I bit the bullet and bought the unlimited sound cloud account, so I can just upload whatever I want now.... I guess I'll just be flooding my soundcloud page with random shit for a while. Hopefully there's something in there.

I just finished a remix for the soundtrack to a horror movie about a murderous ventriloquist doll! It's crunchy and a little lo-fi, but it's the first "industrial" track I've put together in a while. Check it out, and the soundtrack too if you're into retro-analogue synth horror scores. Good music to throw for Halloween tomorrow.

a clip from from tonight's ambient modular performance... the first time I've gone up in front of a crowd without a computer/laptop in front of me in about twenty years.

    People were mostly stoked!

I personally can't take credit for that demo, it was written and put together by the other guy in the band... but hopefully we'll have a chance to work together on it in the future. I really like it, and even if it's a "demo," it works as-is I think.

    1) Sounds awesome! I wish I had 1/1000th the talent of you guys. I screw around in FL for fun, but this is amazing.

    2) Weird request, Mr. Jinsai, but do you happen to have the lyrics available for Parallel Policy? Those lower mixed vocals have me confused in some parts (nothing wrong with them mixed way!)

    3) I showed my friend a few songs last week, and he's deeply in love with "Code" already. I've trained him well.

Thank you! We really did almost drive ourselves crazy there working on that album, and it really means an immense amount to hear that people like it.
Yes, I could put the lyrics up here... we did mix the vocals a little low, which was intentional, but I probably should have made it more audible... One sec. This is from memory, but should be correct
weirdly... I just went online to check a lyric vs my memory, and it seems the album is no longer on Spotify, which makes no sense to me. So I guess it's nowhere online now, and someone on Amazon is trying to sell a CD copy for 45 bucks... if they actually sell that, they'll have made more money from my music than I ever have.

    UNDER THE SKIN:

We'll cut you down to size
We'll cut you, cut you down to size.
We're gonna take you under the skin (you aren't watching)
Did they creep up from behind, did they take you by surprise
from behind, from behind, did they cut you down to size?
    -
    Let's end this well
    we might as well

    HELLO CASHMERE:

So when you go and break your lease and leave us waiting
The lines of gold surround your seas in desperation
But how long, now you're older
    Enough to share the blame
    I'm released by your excuse
still I'd feel safer in a cage

You know your home was always at my place
A room of static around the edges
Repeat in silence, 'avoid the windows'
    -
    A little bit of restraint
it goes a long long way
    It feels as fake
still it goes a long long way
I would feel safer in a cage.

    THE BODY POLITIC:

and we stop to the sound of your starting gun
stuck in motion on the threshold of some un-winnable race
    I bet you flinch
I'm sure you blame somebody else
Cuz you're the same in some way, you're the same in so many ways
    You're entitled to think that
    and all our difference aside
We share that frame of reference so you've got nothing to hide
Our silence is good for you
This frame of reference is good for two
    Our logic is bulletproof
We could be so good for you
    We should add up
You could be good for us too
    We should add us up
    -
I know you so well I get scared around you
Cuz we're the same in some way
We're the same in so many ways

And if we're atheists in foxholes we better hang on for survival
You'll never know what hit you

    24/05:

    You want a second opinion
Well the water's fine once you jump on in
You get sick of the ocean
and if you're trying to sink you gotta think not to swim
you could learn it from me
just like I learned it from you back in school
    who you gonna believe?
    You or me
    Well it's up to you

You could have had it so good
and then it went out of style like you said it would
You never know what you want
You never know where you are when the lights are low

aaaaaand if it rubs you wrong it rubs off on you
    whatever rubs you wrong

    Just like it always was
Just like it was when I wasn't awake
I'm on your... I'm on your side

Here's the keys to the city
But you better watch what you're wishing for
Because it's not like it seems
all these dreams are rotten to the core

You could have had it so good
You would have folded your hand if you'd understood
And if you're turning to me
I've got a surprise or two left in store for you

    Just like it always was
Just like it was when I wasn't awake
    I'm on your side
It's not like it was when I wasn't awake
You're shaking hands I'm saving face

    REQUITE:

Just keep insisting that you're winning
    Show no sign of fear
For all your kicking you're so quick to running
Soon you're running out of here
I'm a magnet, I'll attract this, I will bring this to my door
You fool me once, and shame on you
Now I never leave my home

At least they'll want us back after all you've done

At least they'll want us back, I know they'll want us back, they've got to want us back after all you've done
It felt so good to have a home
    where we belong

    CONSTITUERIT:

Just put your stethoscope to safe
and press your face against this cold divider
There's a line that separates the bad looks in the mirror
We're both so great and we just talk about it
    but it's not enough
Don't let me let you hype it up if it lets you down

    CODE:

I've been waiting longer than you know
    I've been pacing
    sleeping in my clothes
Just when the engines hum to carry you away
I'll think of what to say
Just when the angels run to carry you away
I'll break it to you easy, and it'll keep you awake
    It should keep you awake
It keeps me awake, it keeps me watching

I know what to say when words get in the way
And the sentiment is overdue but it still holds true today
At least it'll mean the same thing or something

Somewhere, some way, in another home, in some different place
    You'll be counting mistakes
I'll be waiting, waiting for the day I'll waste another day
    While it keeps you awake
And it should keep you awake
    Cuz it keeps me awake

The more you sleep the more I rise
The more I think the more I compromise
    Dot another "I"
    and It'll keep you awake
    it keeps me awake

I know what to say when words get in the way
And the sentiment is overdue but it still holds true today
At least it'll mean the same thing and no one can complain
At least it'll mean the same thing or something

Before you speak, before you try, before you even dot another "i"
    I will correct you
    because I love you

    SIGNATURE:

and I thought about the waiver you signed but never should
watch that pound of flesh goes overdraft and six more pints of blood is not enough
And I thought you were misguided
I watched you place your trust in the ones that left you waiting around for your chains to rust
    is it long enough
    and how's it lining up
Don't let me let you hype it up if it lets you down
I thought i'd burn you out
If I thought I'd burn you out
    Before you had enough
Don't let me let you hype it up if it lets you down

    ENTROPY:

And I'm not sure why I'm staying
    I'm sure you can relate
So I'm calm collect and well equipped to wipe that smirk right off your face
My eye's too quick to catch
all the sickness in your smile
I wear my habitat and let the details pass me by
    -
    A little bit of restraint
It goes a long long way
it feels as fake, but still it goes a long long way
    -
It was an accident, it was unfortunate
but you should be ashamed by your indifference
    -
I can't be bothered by the rain, I can't be bothered by anything
And it might seem real to me
It might seem real, we'll see
    -
I bet you know yourself well
I bet you wear yourself so well
    You wear yourself so well
    But I don't need so I don't ask
And I won't wear that side of me
Lie to me so I won't ask
And I won't wear a side of me
    I don't need so I won't ask
    -
It was an accident, it was unfortunate
And you should be ashamed but you're indifferent

    I USED TO WORK HERE:

all the "vocals" in this were ripped from youtube clips

    PERSISTENCE:

You've got some time before you follow through
Then you'll know just what you're supposed to do
and why you have to choose between the son of god
    and a human being
it makes you laugh, and I don't know why
    I get reduced to this
    you'll get used to it
    we've got time
Before all your hopes get run down by your progress
and all your dreams get killed off by persistence
    we've got time before
    follow through
    we've got time
I'm with you, alone with you

    GRACE IN YOUR STEP:

I was writing this down to meet you
Take that any way you want to I don't mind
Even if it only finds you half way, fine
Soon we will remember everything in time that we'll forget
    I bet
We'll see it burn down in your eyes
Like burning buildings in your eyes
You could wear it like a war wound
you could so why don't you

There's a grace in my step and I'm so full of shit
You could bust my tooth right through my lip
    I'd keep on smiling
I'd wear the threads I tore from all the clothes we've worn
tangled and conformed till you're part of it
let you rue the day you let that slip away and you let that mean the same thing
    that I'd forgotten
Just place these bets on me and my sorry company
Our enemies won't see us where we're going
You could let it mean the same thing I'd forgotten
Let it mean the same thing I'd forgot
    -
We will creep up from behind.
We will take you by surprise
we will cut you down to size
