we put together a music video for a new song we've been working on called Magnetic Boxes, which will probably be on our new EP.

Great track dude. I'm still enjoying the albums too. Been passing them on to other people to check out.
When are you looking to release the new EP? Can't wait to hear the rest.
Thanks!
Hopefully we'll have the first EP finished by February, then it just depends on final tweaks and mastering. We've got about 16 or so new songs, but rather than take forever putting together an album we're probably just going to put out a series of short EPs.
The new song is really good. The vocals sound great. I really do wish the right person hears you guys one day because your guys are really that good.
So we've finally gotten the properly organized and tagged versions of the Parallel Policy album tracks uploaded to our site in variable bit rate. These files are from the final master, and we added images from album artwork outtakes to each track. And it's all still free. We've also updated the streaming player on the site so the full album is on there now too, and it should work on mobile devices etc.

new stuff coming very soon, along with a west coast tour in July.
Looking good man - I like the videos a lot too.
Thanks!
here's a new video of us running through a live performance of the song 24/05.
Hey, awesome work! Love the videos and vibe. Great stuff.
If there's one thing that I'm lacking, it's some videos
I use an APC40 as well
Love that Magnetic Boxes vid, really sets a tone
Thanks!
And yeah, the APC 40 is fantastic kit! Do you use custom builds in Max for Live? I've been considering getting into that. I only wish it came with MIDI ports... kinda silly that it doesn't, but nothing's perfect.
BTW, I've been toying around with remixing one of your songs... the one that was 157 bpm. It's hectic sounding at the moment, but fun. Interested to see what you think of the finished tweaking
Nah, I haven't messed with Max really. But I like to jam with the session view in Ableton to get a basic structure down and record that into the arranger.
Then, I usually edit it and do all the little details by hand.
Lots of Native Instruments VSTs (Battery, Kontact, Reaktor, Massive, FM8) and I use Izotope's Stutter Edit and Ozone for mastering.
Oh, and there's a free FX VST called Glitch by Illformed that's awesome for whacky FXs that I use a lot.
Can't wait to hear what you came up with! When you're finished, send it over.
If you're in the Los Angeles area, come out to our show!
Better yet, put yourself on the guest list, and then you'll get into the show for free and we'll get paid. Even if you think you might not be able to come, if you're just considering it, put your name on the list. Email me at james@jinsai.net with your name and the names and email addresses of anyone you think might come along.
We haven't played a show in a long while, and I'm excited about this gig.
I'm there in spirit. Loved the live video of 24/05, somehow I'd missed that when you posted it. Such an intense fucking song, emotionally, musically and lyrically. Love the build-up to the final chorus.
first part of the show. Unfortunately we don't think we have video/audio of the rest of it, but it was a good time.
so our album Parallel Policy is now (finally) on Spotify.
Give it a listen, and share the music if you like it.
Never really checked out your band's stuff. I love it.
new live video of us running through the song Requite
Also, if anyone here happens to be in the Los Angeles area, we're playing a show Monday night at a bar in Santa Monica called TRiP.
I barely remember making this NIN remix of Survivalism, but I just dug it up today and thought it was fun, so I thought I should post it

so, I need to get some money together to fund the mastering/printing of our next album that we're finishing up, so, we're going to be selling our 2X vinyl 180 gram copies of our album "Parallel Policy" for 10 dollars (+ shipping), and we'll throw in the CD for the next week. There's only a hundred copies of it left.
PM if interested.
edit: PS: side two sounds really nifty on vinyl
new album is done and will be mastered in a couple days. Various changes have prompted us to change the band name. Will have new music to upload soon.
But if anyone wants to buy a CD or a record of the old JINSAI stuff, we finally set up a store on our new band page

apparently by clicking this link, you can listen to and/or buy my new album on itunes

and everything should be on spotify now.
and I'd appreciate all kinds of feedback. If you don't like my music, I'd like to know why. If you think it sucks, I want to know why. If you like it, I'm glad you like it.
Please give it a listen.
and hopefully this will make a direct spotify link Siren Section
