    NIN Manchester14.07.2009 - multi-cam DVD

Hi and I'm happy ETS is back again!

A few months ago I started with a multi-cam edit for the Nine Inch Nails show in Manchester 14.07.2009.
Here is the thread on NIN.com
    http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?52,1271517

and here is a clip from the edited show:

In a few days I'm ready for releasing/torrenting this show as a DVD.

Neverthelees, the period everyone looking for edited shows is calmed down now and
figured i'd open up a thread in this forum as well, to spread the word!

I will post when the show is ready for download!

    Here is the link:

I hope you all enjoy the show!
Sure, for the once attended the show it's not really the "original" but maybe an option to relive it again.

    Feedback (however) would be nice,
or share a few impressions, "flashbacks", favorite moments or whatever with me/us.

And finally, a huge Thank You to all filmers and tapers of the show!

Wow. Totally wow. Thanks! I was at this show. I've collected every AV source I could from the show; I think I had two complete audio sources, and a partial HD video source. If I'd seen your nin.com thread earlier I wonder if my stuff would have been useful to you... maybe you have it all already. It looks like there's no source info in the torrent. Do you have any?

Looking forward to the torrent finishing

Here are the video sources I used:

    (HD footage) -damnation9- / -diluteduk- / -head- / -mshncrtve- / -UnorthodoxMethod-

    (other footage) -ashthetash / barrygwilliam / BLACKSYNTH / craizydaisy / ghandibob7 /
    LisaNocturne /margot246 / MazNINUK / na1mei / pajjuk / planetdada / ShaunSutton /
    Tiprivein / UndeadMarion / urbanlurcher

Is your HD video source another one?

On piratebay I can't edit my torrent info anymore.
But on NIN.com http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?52,1271517 is the whole source info and at least the DVD has closing credits.

I also love the angles. This was the key reason to get the whole ball rolling for editing this show, to switch between very close shots to the more far away shots. That was fun!

And thanks for the Thank you's here

Just about all of my A/V sources originated on the old ETS I think so sadly
I can't find out all the info I want about who shared them...
Here's a thread from NIN forums at the time of the gig, with some relevant
    links and discussion: http://forum.nin.com/bb/read.php?21,...667#msg-787667

    I have on various DVDs:

    nin manchester 2007/07/14 mp4 1/2
    2.1G Jul 14 2009 SANY0077.MP4
    261M Jul 14 2009 SANY0078.MP4
    1.1G Jul 14 2009 SANY0243.MP4
    421M Jul 14 2009 SANY0244.MP4

    nin manchester 2007/07/14 mp4 2/2
    252M Jul 14 2009 SANY0074.MP4
    553M Jul 14 2009 SANY0075.MP4
    53M Jul 14 2009 SANY0076.MP4
    720p

^^ It's a really close shot, the guy must have been on the rail. I'm not 100%
sure, but based on the NIN forum discussion, it might have originally been
    shared by "Unorthadox".

an audio source (I grabbed it from demonoid):

Mics: AT 853 Rx`s mounted on sunglasses > Church Audio Preamp CA 9100 > Edirol R-09
Lineage: Wave 24bit sample rate 48khz> WAV 32 Bit Float> Stereo Expander (200%)> Multiband Compression (Effect Preset; Broadcast)> Fade ins and fade outs. (All processing done in Adobe Audition 2.0)> CDR> EAC (test and copy uncompressed)> Flac> MD5 created in Traders Little Helper> make torrent V2.1

^^ This is almost certainly the source on RTC attributed to 'Schuff'

    another audio source ('monkeyguy'):
    Source: Sony ECM-717 > Iriver H320 @ 44.1
    Location: Block 103 Row H
    still available from http://www.mediafire.com/?9a48bo4t66ho2

^^ this could be the one on RTC attributed to 'Gary'; same source equipment

So in conclusion; I think my two audio sources are on RTC already, and the
vid source could be one of the ones you used, Unorthadox / UnorthadoxMethod

    @jmtd
Yes, the video source is from Unorthodox (or Unorthodoxmethod).
Aside the more far away footage (right side) from mshncrtve, I'm glad I got this one. He filmed (with a few short breaks) the whole show up to the Suck.

The audio source is from CP, downloaded from RITC:

    Source 3: Audio - AUD (AT853 [3 Wire Mod] + SP-SBSP-8 + Edirol R09HR)
    Taper: CP
    Time: 101 minutes
    Rating: 5 out of 5
    Comments:
A very good recording. CP tapes has done some of the best recordings in the UK for quite some time now. This one is fantastic.

I do fully agree to the comment from RITC. It's a very good recording with the exception of Hurt. At times there is some disturbing noise during the recording.
Therefore I choosed for Hurt the recording from Schoff:
    .
    Source 1: Audio - AUD (AT853 + CA-9100 + R09)
    Taper: Schoff
    Time: 101 minutes
    Rating: 3.5 out of 5
    Comments:
If you look at the levels of this show they are over 0 db most of the time on the recording. The vocals are somewhat low on the recording.

First I took the whole recording from Schoff, but as mentioned above, the level of the show is too high on the louder parts and that causes some kind of "sound distortion" (I don't know if this word excists in English-language countries) but on the lower parts it's also a very good recording.

As with the filmers: Thank's again for these recordings! The audio quality is so crucial to enjoying a show on DVD!

What I haven't said clearly enough mr zootzap is thank you for your efforts! I dreamed of this after the show, but don't have the time nor (more importantly) the skill to pull it off. I haven't watched it properly yet (haven't burnt it as a video DVD properly) but eagerly await.
