Every other lyric was different (I remember a line that talks about “something hypodermic). The melodies were different and the music was different. I think the problem was homies approach, last time someone came around these parts looking to trade they allegedly had the Wembley 91 proshot and we know how that turned out...
People here are interested in sharing, not trading and hording.
I thought about this some more and they very will could be legit. I seem to remember MM saying before HW came out it was going to be more of an electronic album, and what I heard could have been just that.

Maybe these have surfaced because they're working on a 20th Anniversary Deluxe edition of Holy Wood. I can dream.
There is a massive cash cow in re-releasing all the albums on Vinyl and doing 20th anniversary editions (or 25th as they approach) for the earlier albums. I can't understand why it isn't being done.

Unless manson has new management that is smart enough to get him to do something like that, he hasn't shown any desire to re release old material on his own. However there were a few new HW items for sale on the site, so maybe? What I heard sounded pretty polished, but I was at work and working at the time so I didn't get a good listen. Should have just tubemate-d it and listened later.
But I still doubt it though.

Well, I got curious and perused Discogs to find an original vinyl copy of Mechanical Animals. I wound up finding the 2012 reissue that contains the same alternate tracklisting as the original release and shelled out a little over $200 for it, but the seller has a good rating and has it listed as being in mint shape, so I'm considering this a steal. I'm looking forward to receiving it.
