I wonder if that means a bigger tour is planned or if this is a one off show for them. I'd be down to see these guys live. Probably wouldn't travel for them, but i'd see them if they came to me.
I remember Chris' other band "The Dreaming" did an after show party at the small club next door to the Joint in the hard rock after the NIN tension 2013 Vegas dates.
I know "The dreaming" gets a lot of flak, but I personally enjoyed them.

Stabbing Westward released a pretty good cover of The Cure's Burn on the Coldwaves 2020 Compilation.

Nothing beats the OG, which is probably one of my favorite songs ever, but this is worth a listen

So that same cover plus a remix, a cover of Everyday is Halloween and The Killing Moon (Echo and the Bunnymen) just got released on a 4 track digital or CD release.

All are very good covers and I can't wait to hear their new full length album when they decide to release it.

    So about that:

Album's out soon, up for pre-order.

Also I don't think this thread's indexed in the List Of Bands.

All the new stuff they've been putting out is really great. I'm genuinely excited for the album. It's nice that all the new stuff naturally sounds like Stabbing Westward, and not a bunch of old dudes poorly trying to recreate the vibe. Plus that cover of Burn by The Cure is phenomenal.

co-sign the new stuff being great. Have been really impressed with them recapturing their sound like no time has past at all.

Never been a big Stabbing westward guy but always loved the general sound and mix on wither, blister and darkest days (more so on wither). Perfect combo of a really good live rock sound with electronic and industrial flourishes. Andy k had a great live drum sound.

It REALLY is. They sound fucking amazing on it. You'd be hard pressed to find any difference at all between Chris' vocal range in 1998 versus 2022. Production is solid, mixing is great, songwriting is all there, this album is essential Stabbing Westward.

Seriously, his voice sounds great. I'm loving the new album, given it 4 or 5 listens so far. Also just went back and listened to the old albums I haven't listened to in forever. Kind of forgot how much I like this band.

Nice but damn only 10 songs and just ONE song from Darkest Days? Bummer.

I have heard a few songs off the new album and it's pretty good, hope I can catch them live again at some point.

It wasn't a solo headline show, if that helps.

fun album. i remember really loving their stage props; just a couple of decked out retail busts spinning, dolled up like disco balls.
