Dvd release in April

DVDs are still far cheaper to manufacture than blu-rays, and most people who care about the HD quality will buy it digitally or stream it. from their point of view, it's not a bad economical decision. plus, plenty of people still have DVD players and don't have blu-ray players.
I juuuuusssst neeeeeed, that lossless 5.1 nah nah nah nah
^ It does; just not discrete surround lossless. DVD-Audio does support lossless 5.1, not that those discs get made much anymore. I was commenting on my desire to have a Blu-ray version of the movie, hopefully it's still in the cards.
Actually, dvd audio is long time dead, now you have bluray audio, and trent already sold "not so audio" bluray with lossless 5.1, it was 7 years ago
Not quite dead. Independent artists still sometimes release on DVD-Audio for cost effectiveness, because the licensing, authoring and manufacturing is cheaper. That Blu-ray you speak of (The Social Network soundtrack) was released by Columbia — a division of Sony, which owns Blu-ray patents and doesn't have to pay licensing on them — not by Trent independently. So far, the only time TR has independently released Blu-ray audio was for the Deluxe Ghosts I–IV; no surround mix on it though.

8 Billion has crawled up in my top 5 TR & AR songs. I find this song so fascinating. I honestly cannot put it in words. I'm just addicted to this song.
Generally speaking this OST now ranks 3rd behind TSN and GG.
Gustavo brought something quite refreshing to the traditional TR & AR songwriting. Between Two Poles is one of the most haunting/eerie song I've heard.
A Minute to Breathe is voted 3rd best film song of 2016 in an Ultimate Guitar poll version of the Oscars

Amazon cancelled my order of the CD this morning. Maybe I should stop hoping for a release and just buy the digital files now...
before the flood vinyl
april!
i think it's only a vinyl release. and yes, this year
About to cancel my NIN.com order

looks like it's going to be available on amazon.de as well

I'm glad I already cancelled my order through nin.com/Firebrand, I didn't have a positive experience with them.
Bit late to proceedings, but I've always thought that Trent sounds most like Phil Collins on The Line Begins To Blur. I think it's the slightly 80's style echoes used but I could never get it out of my head once I'd heard it.
Slightly more relevant to the thread, I'm just taking my first listen to A Minute To Breathe, and I can't hear any Phil Collins in it at all
No CD release planned.

amazon UK now has the vinyl on preorder for £31.32, whereas amazon.de is asking for a whopping 83.50€ (!)

Question: how many of you who are sad about this have already heard the score? This is a legitimate question too.
Haven't listened to any of the new scores yet. I might consider finding a digital .flac version now that CD is definitely not coming. Shame that it's not available on the NIN store. Any recommendations? Amazon has .mp3 as far as I know and I don't use Apple products so iTunes is out of the question.
